Beautiful film to watch

Very good 4k blu ray

A fab timeless cartoon that gets watched many times a day.Has made my daughters happy many times.

Bought this for my elderly mother who still has a DVD player and refuses to stream films etc. Cinderella is such a classic. Special edition dvd with extra features.

Good value for the money thanks

I love this Disney Special Platinum Edition Collector's Gift Set. The sketches are incredible but the film clip is my favourite thing out of this set. It really was interesting to read about how the movie was made too.Disney only came out with three of these sets (The Lion King, Aladdin and Cinderella), I am lucky enough to own all three. If you are able to still find these I definitely recommend getting them.

Great little CD, just as I remembered when I was a child.

I have been looking forward to this one for a while now-one of the most magical Disney classics is now available to own od DVD! As a child,I had a Disney book which included all the classic stories, including Cinderella. Although I had never seen it as a motion picture (until now) the pictures from my book stayed with me and I couldn't wait to see them move. When the film started, I realized the pictures in my head are a milestone away from what this film has now become. Digitally remastered, it is a "modern version" of the classic, but it has unfortunately lost a lot of its' original charm. Determined to prove myself wrong I browsed through the tons of extra features, and found the original trailors for the film, several of them in fact, all of which are exactly what I expected Cinderella to be. The colours on the original are much softer, there is more detail and more shading and all of this is a part of Disney magic, some of which is now unfortunately lost. I was hoping the newly released Cinderella would sing praise to her original animators, but clearly the studio felt some things just had to be updated. Shame really, because otherwise Cinderella is a timeless classic, (its' story stil the same), it is funny, touching, magical and hopeful and for some less fussy fans it will make a wonderful Christmas pressie. There are lots of extra features, for both kids and adults, including the history of Disney and the making of Cinderella. But it just doesn't fit. 21st century Disney films aren't like the original classics, and seeing them "digitally restored" makes you think it's a brand new film (computer animated), when in fact it was drawn by hands of talented animators over 50 years ago. This should be praised by the film itself, not just in the interviews on the extra disc in the box. That aside, if you've never seen Cinderella and have no idea what the film SHOULD look like, you won't be disappointed. And you really shouldn't miss it.
