Im new so it is what it is
Ok….. so day two with this monitor and im a noob so take what I write with a grain of salt.. I built my frist PC since 1998 lol man that makes me feel old anyway im running G.SKILL Trident Z Neo (For AMD Ryzen) Series 32GB Ram, Corsair Force MP600 M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express Gen 4.0 memory, AMD Ryzen 5 3rd Gen - RYZEN 5 3600 Matisse (Zen 2) 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.2 GHz Max Boost) CPU, on a ASRock X570 PHANTOM GAMING 4 motherboard I had all this hooked up to a very old Emerson 32 inch TV that only did 60Hrtz…ok now that that’s out the way….. I pulled this LG 32GN550-B 32 Inch Ultragear VA Gaming Monitor with 165Hz out the box with a price tag of 250 bucks and thought man I hope I looked up enough stuff to have made the right choice……. Oooo SORRY also my video card is a NVIDA GeForce GTX 980 4 GB that was sitting in my closet for the past few years collection dust, any who, nothing was broken or weird about the packing it showed up undamaged and all in all to me just looks like a tv until I hooked it up now remember I came from a old tv to this so the change for me was crazy I am now running at 164.8 Hertz with a display port cable I really haven’t messed with anything in the settings out the box the only thing I did was go into my pc settings and see what I could get for Hrtz the monitor is easy to navigate gona watch a few youtube videos and see what I can change but in the games I play…. Ware Thunder, Gears 5, Battlefield 2042, its night and day soooo to me the purchases was worth it like I said at the start im new so still learning no speakers but I doint care I got a old set of champion 3 pc speakers hooked upOK three months later ....I Love this thing my pc is my media center i work, watch tv, game,..... this thing is on for at least 15 hr a day no heat comes off it got everything adjusted to my liking.. color shape size,.... nice looking monitor it works great im happy with my choice i ended up back here cause im thinking about buying two more.... seeing as i got the pc gamming bug and am building another bigger faster pc and i want to try that sim racing stuff and watch tv and check e-mail all at the same time.. lmao... anyway.... it really is a nice monitorOk 18 months later and everything above i stand strong with...... i really love these monitors so much im now building my third pc now running EVGA X570 DARK, 2-Kingston FURY Renegade M.2 2280 1TB PCIe 4.0, MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 10GB , AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, with the same ram in a Thermaltake Ceres 500 Black Mid Tower E-ATX and this will conclude my reviews ..... good luck

Great Monitors for the Price
I bought three of these monitors to use for a sim racing setup. Of the three monitors, I have only noticed two dead pixels, but this was no issue as the way I have my monitors set up I do not see the dead pixels unless I look for them on a white screen. These monitors look really good especially since they are only 1080p. The GSync works like a charm and the high refresh rate is very smooth. This monitor is great for gaming. My only big complaint about this monitor is the location of the inputs on the back of the monitor. The way that these mount to my sim rig prevented me from being able to plug in any sort of input cables and the power cable. I had to buy some longer screws and brass extensions to get the monitor off the face of the mount in order to be able to plug anything in. That was my only issue with these monitors, but my issue is created due to a very niche use of the monitor. I do not expect most consumers to deal with this sort of issue unless you are planning to use specific mounting options for wall/table mounts.

Two pretty minor issues
First of all, this is entirely my fault, but i didn't look at the measurements and the base of the monitor was HUGE compared to the shelf i was going to put it on. so make sure you take that into account. I had to give it to my husband and switch it with his work monitor.Secondly, and this is the fault of the monitor, the quality is not as good as it could be. We bought this exact same monitor from Costco and it has a higher resolution than the one I purchased on Amazon. When they're right next to each other it is very obvious, and a bit annoying to get used to. Still high quality, I'm just confused how the (seemingly) exact same monitor has slightly different specs in person than what was expected from experience. My husband is in IT so yes he has fiddled with it and it's just different.

Money Well Spent
I purchased two of these for a primary/secondary display setup for my desktop PC. I have not been disappointed with them. They have just the right mixture of features for the price. HDR10 is great in 2D or 3D. The 165hz scan rate makes sure that you can get butter-smooth fps rates if your GPU can handle them. Some people will argue that it's not 1440p. And i do understand how someone could easily be spoiled by gaming monitors of any size and EXPECT 1440p. However, based on high-mid range GPUs, the 165hz scan rate gives you the perfect 'limit' for sequential frames.Definitely worth the money, even if I bought them when they cost less than they do now.
