Very disappointed.
Followed the directions completely and the end result was looking at beads rotating around. Took it apart and started again and same thing. Tried the YouTube video the company recommends, but the video was a 30 second promotion video, not an instructional video. Just a complete waste of money. Would have been better to buy a kaleidoscope and use the extra money for a snack.

An amazing product worth hours of creativity and fun.c
I do not usually review products, but I cannot stay silent about this product, it is WONDERFUL!I was searching for projects to do with my 8 year old daughter, and came across this kit. She is highly creative and thirsts for knowledge. She also loves music. She and I had a great time putting it together and she absolutely adores it. It takes about an hour or two to put together. The instruction book is very easy to follow. No additional parts needed.Best fact ever, she even spent a week making her own songs. I printed out some music sheets and she wrote her notes down and titled her song. She shows everyone that comes over her music player.I honestly want more of these projects!

Such fun to use once built!
I bought 2 of these to gift to our 5 and 7 year old grandchildren. The 5 year old built hers with her dad, the 7 year old built on his own. Once complete, they had a ball seeing the kaleidoscope images change over and over. The concept is fascinating to a child and engages them for long periods. A well designed kit, and putting it together is a good way to learn mechanical skills and improve small motor skills. Would definitely recommend as a perfect gift for elementary age kids.

Good activity bad Kaleidoscope
My 8 year daughter tried to assemble it and it didn’t work out so I thought some pieces were missing. Next day my 13 year old son assembled it but it’s not a real kaleidoscope. If you are just looking for an activity to assemble it’s appropriate but if you are looking for a real kaleidoscope buy something else. The mirrors inside don’t work so you can only see the beads as they are on the other side no reflection nothing.

It doesn't look like a real kaleidoscope.
I would say this is a pretty easy build but will still keep kids occupied. The educational book was pretty cool too the only real problem was it doesn't look like an actual kaleidoscope when it's finished. That was a big thing for me bc my daughter hadn't seen a kaleidoscope before so that's specifically why I bought this so for me definitely not worth $26.
