Guide Rail Adapter Compatible with Makita Router - Made in USA

Fits both XTR01 and RT0701C Makita trim routers. Also fits Makita and Festool guide rails with a tight tolerance. Another nice part is that it can be left on and used as a regular baseplate for most set ups. If you need to route consistent straight lines with a small trim router this is the perfect tool. Sure you can make one out of wood , but the tolerance will vary with weather. Also what is your time worth to make it?

The product I received is well made and the stop works great. The router base is solid and fits my Makita RT0701C router well. The bolts from the factory sub base can be used with the unit to attach the router. My particular use case is to use this with my WEN guide rails which are supposed to be a close replica of the Makita or Festool guide rails. To be fair, I knew that the seller did not specifically mention compatibility with the WEN guide rails. It slides well but there is some slight play in the track. I was able to fix it by using a thin shim. I used a thin strip of a direct mail postcard I received in the mail and covered it on both sides with a strip of packing tape. The base slides perfectly on the WEN guide rail now with no slop. I haven’t attached it as of yet as I will find a thin strip of plastic that is the same thickness for a more permanent fitment and epoxy it to the side adjacent to the track. I am confident that will do the trick. I don’t have a Makita guide rail, so I am assuming that the WEN guide rail may feature a slightly different t-track than the Makita. I am happy with my purchase and it will fit my use case perfectly. Good value for the price and it will make routing dados on my projects much easier by providing a solid reference using the WEN Guide rail. I am hoping my review will help others that have a WEN guide rail and benefit from my ‘fix’. I wasn’t able to find a router adapter for the WEN guide rail anywhere on the web. So I am happy I was able to make this work. I couldn’t build something cheaper than what I paid for this item between materials and time spent building it. I would recommend the seller design a similar product to fit the WEN guide rails as a lot of hobby woodworkers like me use the WEN guide rails.

The product came with hairline crack in it and the base wasn’t flat at all- it’s plastic and warped totally not useable- getting it replaced to see if this 1 is any betterRecently received a new version of the plate I ordered and the quality was definitely there- fit my Marita quite well and surely didn’t add any weight to a top heavy router as it is- have to say maybe the 1st one wasn’t handled well prior to delivery but who knows-I will control do business with these folks👍💪

I'm keeping it because it was only $20 and will serve my needs. Pretty cheap, 100%plastic material. Obviously cranked out on somebody's 3D printer. Says "Makita" on it and has a blue spot, but there is NO connection to Makita whatsoever.

This product has given me security and stability, as well as ease of use with my router. With this product, I can ensure the accuracy I need.
