Good tool poor mat
The chisel is very sharp and does an excellent job. The mat unfortunately isnt up to the task and broke after just a few uses.

Very affordable. Small doesn’t rake much space. Sharp blades. Works well

sharp and effective
Sewing machine buttonhole maker won't work on thick fabric - this is the perfect solution.

Works but one small issue
The diameter of the keyhole buttonhole cutter is a bit too large for the buttonholes that my janome machine makes so I have to be very careful to not cut the stitches. This cutter also quite blunt so that I have to “hammer” it with a rubber mallet to cut the hole. The standard buttonhole chisel cutter is fine.
