LIFE 100 People Who Changed the World Paperback – 10 Dec. 2021

It’s a relatively thin magazine rather than a book so felt it was overpriced. Information was rather brief which would’ve been fine for a magazine that’s around £5-£6 but for this price was insufficient

Not as inspirational and insightful as I expected, but still a nice compilation of historical figures. I'd say it's not so much about people, who made a difference in the world and changed it in a positive way, but about those, who did something (good or bad) that made them popular. Therefore such controversial characters like Hitler and even Osama bin Laden are also included.If you have never heard of William Jaird Levitt, the father of modern American suburbia, or some other influential people, then this book provides a good reference. The descriptions are, however, quite superficial and do not seem to follow a clear structure, so if you want to know what made them who they were, how they came about to do what they did or how they became so popular, you may need to study that further.After having volunteered for almost a year in Cambodia, I was looking for some inspirational book to keep my passion going, but I guess this book is not exactly for this purpose. I'm sure, however, that many people, especially those, who are interested in history and famous historical figures, will quite enjoy it.
