Does it make a real different in volume? I am traveling with a backpack. I already have normal packing cubes

If you tightly role your clothes before placing in the cube they compression function of the cube won’t make much of a difference. If your clothes are loose or something like a jumper it will compress the item.

How do they compress? Do you need a vacuum or sit on them or how please?

You don’t need anything. They are flat when empty and compress clothing when closed with the sit. Made a big difference to my luggage

340g is the total weight for all 5 products?

I’ve been disappointed- no more than a small bag that you could use for underwear. Most definitely not for a two week holiday- not recommended.
