impressively thick and rugged
This worked fine for my needs. It has great adhesion and easy to apply. I had to modify slightly for my application but never the less it works great. It quieted down rocks hitting my lower trail frame and my lower bracket does not look all beat up, cause its all covered now :)....

Works, But Not Very Stylish
This MTB downtube guard works, but it’s certainly not very stylish. I have a TREK Top Fuel 9.3 so the downtube is carbon fiber and wide. This guard covers most of it, but not all. It’s also very thick and could probably be thinned to half of the thickness it is since the downtube mostly takes small rocks flying up from the front wheel. The design I purchased is not the one that was delivered, but I’ve been through returning one already and didn’t want to damage my bike any longer since I ride on dirt every other day. Installation was quite easy - I just flipped the bike upside down and carefully placed the guard dead center of the downtube, just above the bottom bracket guard that was OEM installed. So far, the guard hasn’t started peeling off and it’s taken quite a few small rock hits, protecting the paint finish of my bike so it’s working well. Overall, it’s a very inexpensive way to protect your ride if you don’t exactly mind the look.

Nice and thick
I vinyl wrapped my bike but this just tops it off. It adds a nice thick layer of protection to the down tube portion that is vulnerable to hitting rocks. I washed my hands and cleaned the area well with alcohol and didnt like my placement on the first or even second attempt but the adhesive seems forgiving and is sticking.

Beefy and very sticky
Wanted some downtube protection for cheap and thought I'd try this. It's a very thick, heavy piece of rubber. Maybe a little heavier than expected but that's mostly a good thing considering what it's for. The glue is very strong, make sure you have it where you want it before pressing it on. Overall it will do the job, looks durable and price is right.

Finally found exactly what I’ve been looking for
I never really review stuff but I’ll do it for the MTB community.I already have a down tube protector for near the cranks (the bottom of the frame) that came with my Commencal Meta TR but every now and then my tire would toss some rocks at the upper portion so I needed something to protect it. I already had clear paint protection film (PPF) installed but that stuff really isn’t meant to handle rocks and will eventually allow your frame to dent so don’t think that that’s a solution to your problem.I looked forever for something that was rubbery, flexible, light, and tough enough to absorb the impact of any hard/sharp rocks but all of the options I had found, like the All Mountain Honeycomb (AMH) frame protection, never fit the bill. I was ready to give up but saw a comment that said something along the lines of “this is what you’re looking for, just buy it” and so glad I listened lol.It protects almost the entire upper down tube and it does a phenomenal job. So far the adhesive has been rock solid (installed on PPF, not directly to the frame) but if it fails I’ll definitely provide an update. If you have a wide down tube and want bonus points you can do what I did and cut pieces of the All Mountain Honeycomb stuff to make sure not a single spot of your down tube is unprotected. This worked out great because the frame is protected from any hard rock impacts in the areas most likely to see damage and the areas that weren’t protected due to the wide frame, are protected with the AMH that’s slightly less tough but even lighter weight.

Product fine, but item packaged in wrong size envelope
The frame guard arrived in an envelope too small for it. Whoever packaged it decided it was fine to fold it in half which left a visible white mark on the plastic and also appears to have peeled off the adhesive. I decided to apply the guard anyway to test the size/adhesive. The size and color (gray) matched my bike perfectly.
