Anton Breton AB-100 Student Violin Bow - 4/4 Size

I purchased this for my son’s violin class. He has yet to complain and states that it works great. Seems really nice and sturdy. I think I’ll definitely get my money’s worth out of this! Certainly recommend.

I ordered this May 12. I'm over 50, and just learning to play violin. I'm brand new to the music world, didn't even know what notes were. So that's why I went for a $20 bow on-line. It is meant for my enjoyment because I just want to hear the instrument whenever I want. I don't want to be a world-class solo violinist.So on to the bow. It started out decently enough. When I bow the strings it produces sound. But I noticed not more than a month ago some hairs were getting looser and looser. There's 4 or 5 hairs that are drooping off the bow, it's annoying when I play. I all ready want to invest in a better bow. I don't trust that this bow will have hair left in a year. I think it's time I start saving up for a cheap $500 bow. One that's WORTH getting re-haired. I'm just not happy with this bow.

Honestly a great buy for anyone to replace a bow at aBargain. For a beginner it's something to keep going with while the other is possibly in the shop getting repaired. And for professionals, it's something to have on the street with no worry of it getting broke or stolen. Although it does smell cheap out of the bag but, that's the rubber thumb rest. Give it a week and the smell should go away. Also just give it a good rosin and start playing. As for the price point. Why not. Saves you money and frankly this bow is well put together.

Bought it for my son who has been playing violin for the past 6yrs. He has had more expensive ones break so we have gone to this one for the cost. Been using it for atleast 2months and it has been holding up quite nicely. No issues as of yet.

Liked it just wish it came with wax
