Works perfectly with my Canon DSLR's
I have a nice collection of older Pentax M42 lenses. I decided I wanted to try adapting them to my Canon DSLR's. I can report that I have had no issues with using my Pentax lenses on my EOS 1DX, EOS 1DMK4, or my EOS 7D. I can get the focus confirmation light with every camera and I'm happy with the purchase.

Works but you should search the User's Manual to set up the chip to use it at full advantage
Great adapter, it works on my 5D Mark III and on my 60D. The very best is that the chip can be set up to inform the camera about the F-Stop and Focal Length attached, also Focus Micro Adjustment can be done. To set up the adapter just search for "EMF AF Confirm Chip for M42 Lens to Canon.docx" that's the User Manual to do the procedure. Yeah, it's a shame that it doesn't come with the manual and you should search for it.

Does it's job, but is loose on the EOS mount
After waiting 3 weeks for it to be delivered, I finally got to try int out. It does it's job, and frees up my K-EOS and M42-K adapters. The main issue I have with is is that the hole for the locking peg is slightly larger than the peg itself. This means the lens shifts a little every time I try to focus closer or further, or change aperture. While it has no effect on the quality of the images, it does make composing an image more difficult, and I can hear the adapter shift every time the lens slightly rotates.

Questionable design and functionality
TLDR - As others have stated already there are issues with design and functionality. I have 7D MK1 and had no luck but YMMV. The machined aluminum is the only thing worth a star.1. First thing I noticed was the adapter doesn't lock onto the body which is *only* a problem when you zoom in/out all the way (clockwise) and it disengages. *smh*2. Removing the adapter from the lens or body isn't easy as there's not much to grip. I had a panic thinking I was about to pull out wrench.3. I tried multiple times with nothing but the dreaded "error 01 communication between..." and finally gave up.4. The "manual" shared by someone else mentions alignment issues and goes on to explain an invasive process of removing the chip due and gluing it back on. Nope, nope, nope!!! Not worth the $13 and headache.
