Very high quality build with the right gauge of steel. Only used it once, but can tell the steel will withstand many years of use starting charcoal. I love that it’s compact and folds flat.

This is a great charcoal chimney - it folds flat and works like a charm. I really like the stainless construction - this far exceeded my expectations for the price.

Works well and I like how the inside grill drops down to hold it in place when in the open position. Case is handy to keep the charcoal dust off the rest of my gear when taking it camping.

Every once in a while, something really exceeds my expectations. This charcoal starter is really nicely made! The stainless steel is substantial, it folds up nice and compact, and even the bag it comes with is nice! It doesn't hold a ton of charcoal but I just bought it to go with a Lodge Sportsman's grill, and it's perfect for that. It's probably not large enough for a full size charcoal BBQ, but I suppose you could just light the charcoal in two batches. One thing to note, there's no heat shield on it to protect your hand from the heat, but I just use it with a pair of welding gloves. Overall, I'm very happy with this product, and would strongly recommend it. Solid five stars!

I've used 8 times now, no sign of over heating or failure. IF there is a negative, it is heavier than the round ones and turning over to dump is "exciting"...a trap door would be awesome! Came with a bag I'll never use, you might. It folds down for storage/transport and I'm sure some will find that useful. Mine, I keep under the grill ready to use. Recommend, would buy another but I don't expect to for quite some time. Oh, HUGE plus is the thick wire bottom the coals sit on! I don't expect it to burn thru like the round ones did!
