Yes. Not sure what kind of metal, but it’s definitely not bamboo on the inside. Around the metal is a silicone ring/washer.

It's not stainless steel, it's bamboo and a silicone washer.

Can metal leak into the water from the lid?

It has a silicone rubber gasket. I don't think the metal is leaching into the water. I also love this bottle. I broke one and bought two more. Its the first time I have been hydrated this consistently.

Has anyone found a lid that allows for a straw?
