Just a perfect taste and texture

I don't know if I've ever written an Amazon review before, but I had to jump on and warn against these cookies. They are DISGUSTING! I've had this type of cookie many times before, I know what they are supposed to taste like. If you're considering buying these, please understand, this is not a matter of personal taste, these cookies are FOUL, they taste spoiled like rancid nuts. I bought these as gifts and decided to get some for myself. THANK GOD I tried them first because, I'm telling you, I took one bite and couldn't swallow. The texture is stale, fine, they aren't fresh baked. But the flavor comes on bland and artificial. If it ended there I wouldn't complain, but the flavor evolves to something that isn't just 'not good' but actively gross. I would consider giving these cookies away to an enemy or someone I wanted to punish. BE WARNED: THEY ARE NOT RETURNABLE. However Amazon very graciously refunded me. The cookies will be going right in the garbage.

Very delicious little cookies. My family saw them on the travel channel and we decided to give them a try. They definitely are not overloaded with the sugary taste that I am used to but I liked that about these. They taste like a little bit of orange with melon, I love it! They were really good and everyone loved them. If you want a little something to enjoy with coffee or perhaps tea with the gals, or just want to try something new, these are the cookies for you! 10/10 would reccomend.

I like trying different foods from different countries. I saw these on a food channel. They looked different. They were given good reviews. This is a tasty cookie with a little chew to it. Quite filling. I can't think of a cookie in the USA, that compares to it. I was worth the try but not necessarily worth the hoopla.

I love Calissons and never fail to get some when I visit Provence. I ordered these based on the reviews but was very disappointed. The calissons are very dry, tasteless when it comes to the traditional almond flavor but the worse part is that they are actually rancid and have that really pungent taste of rancid nut products. Clearly this brand is a poor product and probably they don’t know how to maintain the freshness. They are absolutely inedible and a huge waste of money.

These calissons had reasonably good flavor, although maybe a little too citrusy, but they were so chewy as to be tough. Maybe dried out?
