I purchased a home built in 1965. The garage is lit by two fluorescent shop lights, plugged unto ceramic light bulb sockets, using a screw-in 2 prong outlet adapter. Well, here in upstate NY, the temperature spends 3x months regularly dipping below freezing, and in January it stays below freezing for weeks, sometimes hanging out in the single digits (Fahrenheit) and lower when the sun goes down. When I go to turn on my fluorescent shop lights, when its really cold, they won't start. I've replaced bulbs ballasts, and even a full fixture with no luck. I TRIED the LED replacement bulbs, but the things seem to fail after a year or two, which is ridiculous.In my frustration after flipping the switch, and being rewarded with darkness, I ordered this "thing" as a stop-gap measure until I could tear out and rewire the lighting completely. As silly and flimsy as it appeared out of the box, I screwed this thing into one of the bulb sockets supplying one of the shop lights, and was rewarded with a decent coverage of light. And I should also note that the color temperature and lumen output pretty much matched what I have come to expect from each my existing 2x bulb fluorescents shop lights. I adjusted the panels to get the light to fall where I needed it, and forgot about it...Here I am, over a year has passed and its really cold outside. My "stop-gap" solution is still going strong. Whenever I flip the switch, no matter how cold its been, it immediately illuminates. I am pleasantly surprised.

I really like these light in my garage. They are easy to install. They show off a lot of light.I might order more for some walk in closet’s.

Got this as an easy replacement for a unique bulb in my garage. It installs in 2 seconds and is super bright. The led panels can be conveniently adjusted to get more or less light in a specific area. Great value for the price in my opinion.

These lights work great in the garage!

I'm always leery of commercials for stuff like these, wondering if they're really true or not. Well, for this one at least, I can tell you they're right on the mark. I think you could put this on the front of your car and see perfectly by it! The adjustable "wings" on the outside allow you to adjust the lights as you need them and the included 3" stem lets you put this in a recessed socket, so it will screw into just about any outlet. I'll definitely be reordering this light as more need arises. I've only had this for a short while, so I can't attest to its longevity yet, nor do I have it in a motion detection socket so I can't review that one either. As long as the setup works, the light should work just fine and should light up any area perfectly!

I needed something that would light up my closet. Goodness! This was perfect for my dark space.
