Works as it should.

My Rain Bird Sprinkler system is probably at least 10+ years old and is starting to show signs of wear and tear on the rotor heads and even the cup that houses the sprinkler has been sinking or angling due to the freeze / thaw cycles. Some of the rotor heads still work fine while others struggle to rotate, hence this Orbit replacement is extremely cost effective at 1/3 the cost of an equivalent Rain Bird Maxi Paw replacement and this is including the housing cup as well where the Rain Bird Rotor replacement is at least $20 just for the head. I highly recommend getting the Rain Bird Sprinkler Head Tool as it makes the entire job very easy and I'm not sure how else you could replace the sprinkler head without it. The tool works with both Rain Bird and this replacement Orbit head as well. Warning, the Orbit head is very difficult to remove from the housing it comes installed in, but it does unscrew with enough force (might need 2 people or use a vice to hold the handle of the tool while rotating the housing to remove the rotor head).Great Value, Great Results, can't go wrong with the Orbit replacement at less than $10.

I bought two of these as replacements for a couple of heads on my lawn. They work pretty well and coverage seems adequate. The reason for the four stars is that on one of the heads, when I went to adjust the little metal limiters, one broke off almost immediately when I attempted to move it. Luckily, there are two of these and it seems to be working with just the one side remaining. Quality is so so..

Easy replacement and adjust as needed to water area necessary. Plastic on old units cracked and failed.

I installed 4 of these. 2 are fine; 2 leak like crazy. It’s not the fittings that leak. Something in the head/popup causes a large puddle around the unit. Will have to troubleshoot and see what needs replacing/repairing. Also, I don’t think the spray is very adjustable. Seems to have 2 settings. Both shoot the water hard/far but the middle distance between the unit and the sprinkler doesn’t get much water.

I have lots of Rain Bird Maxi-Paw sprinklers in my yard and when one goes bad I use the Rain Bird 42064 wrench to remove the sprinkler from the housing and replace it with one out of a new sprinkler assembly. This one is a direct replacement in that use with the only difference being the lid which needs to be swapped to the old Rain Bird one to make it fit flush in the Maxi-Paw housing. The big benefit is this is way cheaper for what appears to be a functionally identical product.Update:The price has gone up a lot on this sprinkler and I've found that the nozzle orifices don't interchange with the Maxi-Paw, so even though this is a good product, I will be going back to the Rain Bird for only a few dollars more now.

I bought these Orbit 55200 Pulse Pop-Up Impact Sprinkler Heads to replace some older Orbits that had gotten too old to service or find parts for. These will be much easier to service and adjust, and should last for years.
