A Great Toaster Oven
My Hamilton Beach Easy Reach toaster oven arrived well packaged and as described. The 'lift up' door opening is a great design that reduces chances of accidental burns. I plugged it in and turned it on right out of the box. The unit heated up relatively quickly and timer and 'finished' alert worked perfectly. It fit well under my cabinetry, not a tiny appliance yet not too big and bulky. Also, it didn't get overly hot on the top or bottom while on the 400+ settings. I did place it on a sheet of glass though. I've had it less than a week and have used it to reheat leftovers multiple times now and it works much faster and more efficiently than firing up my big oven. The microwave is faster but makes breads tough and heats unevenly. I love how extra crispy it cooks my frozen fries in no time at all. I am so pleased with this purchase!

The perfect OVEN (it's not just for toast)
I've been using a small Rival toaster oven for years but have wanted to upgrade to something larger. I've had my eye on the Hamilton Beach EAsy Open oven for a while so when it went on sale during Prime Days I got it for half its original cost and took the plunge. I've been using this oven nearly daily for the last few months without complaint. It has exceeded my expectations completely and then some.I love the easy open door... I wasn't sure how much clearance I would have under my counter but it's just the right height so I can easily open and close the door. The control knobs are fantastic and easy to read... I didn't want digital controls (my husband is completely in the dark when it comes to tech stuff) and these are so easy to use... very intuitive, plug it in and it basically explains itself... didn't really even need the manual to figure out how it works. It cooks to accurate temperatures as well. Some reviews stated that the cook temps were off, but I have not found this to be the case and have used an oven thermometer to test the termperatures. Besides using it for toast, I've made cookies, frozen dinners, mini pizzas, and a whole slew of things I would normally use the oven for, but in small batches... not having to turn on my oven and preheat for 20 minutes to cook a small portion of something is not only a time saver but an electricity saver as well.Cleaning the inside of the glass can be a challenge if you have large hands... fortunately for me I have small enough hands that I can get under it with a cleaning cloth and wipe off any grunge.Another thing I LOVE is that the crumb tray is full-size... it covers the entire bottom of the oven and is easily removable from underneath the bottom rack. No having to pop open crumb trays (like my old oven and toaster) amid a shower of toast crumbs. This is really easy to clean.I do wish the provided tray was large enough to fit into the rack slots... why HB only made it wide enough to sit on top of the rack is a bit of a mystery. All in all, for $49, this is easily one of the best things I've purchased for the house in a long time and would gladly buy this again.

Great design and Functions perfectly
If you want to toast and bake for 2 people, this one is for you! I have been using for a few months and love how easy it is to use and clean. Finally, a toaster oven that TOASTS!It toasts both sides evenly and quickly and you can easily adjust this feature so not to burn anything. The "roll top" design enhances the function for toasting and baking. It both looks and functions as a more expensive appliance and is appropriately sized. It works quietly and the timer is easy to set. I bought this to replace a larger more expensive toaster oven with many functions. Since I have a separate air fryer, it was only used to toast and bake. This is where the quality of this Hamilton Beach appliance excels. I highly recommend it.

Basic and functional.
This is a basic toaster oven and works well in that capacity. It's replacing another basic oven that we've used for 15 years, and we just wanted a bit larger one, for limited counter space. We've used this for 3 weeks and have done the following to test if it's a keeper:- toasted bagels- heated tortillas and pizza slices- baked mini baguettes, cookies and brownies: had to drop baking temp by 25 degrees to avoid burning, prob because the heating elements are so close to the batter- roasted root vegetablesI can't speak as to frozen pizza or any frozen foods as my family prefers the microwave for that stuff. What I love:- analog dials. Not a fan of digital screens on things that get very hot.- the door lifts up rather than swinging down, which is great if you have almost no counter in front of the oven.- the crumb tray is very easy to slide out for cleaning. What's ok:- temperature seems to be variable, in that it heats up extra hot (set it at 400, it went to 450), but then settles and stayed closer to 375. There are 4 heating elements total, 2 above and 2 below, so it heats up quickly compared to our old toaster oven.- The timer max is 30 minutes. I don't know if that's the norm, but for certain things I need to reset for another cycle. Small inconvenience for me, maybe a deal breaker for others. Also, because it's analog the timer audibly ticks away time, which some reviewers didn't like. I don't care, doesn't bother me.One thing I'm not loving: the top of this gets really really hot. It's not insulated at all on its roof, so you need plenty of space between it and the cabinet above. Our old oven was well insulated and got hot, but not yikes! kind of hot. We're keeping it, because it does what we need it to do. The price is fine for what it is, we definitely didn't want to spend > $100. Obviously longevity is the question, will it last 15 years like the last one (which still works, giving it to family)? Hopefully.
