Avid cigar smoker. This is my first tobacco pipe.
I got the set and I have to say it is a great starter kit for anyone looking to get into pipe tobacco. The solid wood pipe feels nice and has a good weight to it. It comes with a bunch of accessories which is super convenient. The pipe pouch is a nice touch and keeps everything organized. One of the best features is how easy it is to disassemble for cleaning. Just make sure to let it cool down completely before you take it apart. After cleaning it, I let it dry and reassembled it with no issues.I appreciate the quality control that goes into each piece. I have had no leaks which is a big plus. The gift box packaging makes it a nice option for presents for different occasions like Christmas or birthdays. Overall this set is worth it and definitely helps you dive into the world of pipe tobacco. Great gift if you looking to buy for someone.

Great pipe set!
Switched from cigarettes to a pipe. This was the perfect pipe set to get me started, has everything you need. You will quickly need to order more screens, filters, and pipe cleaners though, but Scotte sells all of those at a very low price. You might want to consider ordering extra screens, filters, and pipe cleaners when you place an order for this pipe set, just food for thought. What is included in the kit will last you about a week.

Perhaps as a kit. Suggest a cob if you want to see if pipes are right and not a fruit root.
You get what you pay for and I am sure it's fine for a lot of folks but not if you plan to really get into pipe smoking.EDIT- it does work decently for aromatics as the filter takes the "cut/burn" out of it from the heavier moisture content.Updating to a 4 if you use it with mainly aromatics and the filters.I got it more for the whole kit. I knew I would need the tamper, reamer, and such. The picture I see now is not what I got. I got the VERY basic steel tamper and stuff that is worth little but NEEDED if you plan to smoke pipe. You get a case which is fine for me since I normally smoke at home. You will get an approachable pipe with filters (I leave those out). The looks are fine and I suspect if you don't use it as a routine it may be fine.Let's be honest here- if you really plan to get into pipe smoking, you should consider briar and higher end pipes. That's not to say you need to spend a month's mortgage and perhaps this is a way to consider if it's for you.It looks nice. You can display and plenty will think it's a fine low end pipe. It just does not smoke close to a lower end "decent" briar pipe. That's my opinion but seriously research things if you think it's for you.I basically bought another pipe right away after this realizing the draw, flavor, burn was not what you want overall.I am not a pipe snob but honestly I prefer some cobs to this which I use now for aromatics. I have since invested in a Rossi (great pipe for the price), a couple cobs, and a Savinelli.Perhaps it's a way to check it out but realize if you get the wrong set up you could get the wrong impression.I suggest to read up before you just but a "deal". I suggest a corn cob for testers. The kit is fine overall and I mean nothing bad to the seller. It's just not a good way IMHO to find a real smoke.

Best 1st pipe for the price!
Well built, good size, nice accessories. Don't buy other cheap pipes, sit on this one and decide if you like the hobby. Shoot for a rossi as your real pipe. And if you know you're going to stick with it, move on to a Savinelli. Savinelli is the parent company of rossi, but rossi is closer to $60-80 whereas Savinelli is more around $120-200.

Great pipe! Quality case.
I recently purchased the Scotte Tobacco Smoking Pipe kit and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. As a first-time smoker of a tobacco pipe, this kit had everything I needed to get started, aside from the actual tobacco. The pear wood pipe is beautifully crafted and fits comfortably in my hand. The leather tobacco pouch is also a nice touch, and keeps my tobacco fresh and ready to smoke. The accessories that come with the kit are also top-notch. The scraper and stand are incredibly useful and make cleaning the pipe a breeze. The filter element and filter ball are also great additions, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable smoking experience. The small bag and box that comes with the kit are also perfect for storage and transport.Overall, I would highly recommend the Scotte Tobacco Smoking Pipe kit to anyone looking to start smoking a tobacco pipe. The kit has everything you need and is of great quality. The pear wood pipe is beautifully crafted and the accessories are incredibly useful. I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase and will definitely be recommending this kit to my fellow smoking enthusiasts.

My first pipe and I love it!
My first pipe, and I enjoy it very much! Has everything I need to start and I don't see/feel any differences in quality from the ones my friend had.
