This product was used to clean several deep cycle batteries, which had been hooked up for years in a shed as part of an off-grid solar set up. Some of the batteries had been sitting for well over 3 years and were showing signs of slight corrosion on the terminals. I was expecting it to remove the corrosion, but was surprised when it removed the corrosion and cleaned the years of dust and grime building up on the battery case. They looked better than new when I was finished cleaning them.It was easy to use and get outstanding results.I purchased a second can to have around when working on car batteries.

When I bought an old Nissan Altima 2003 - the first thing which scared me was the condition of the battery - the poor thing was oozing green stuff on the terminals and it was a matter of time by when the terminals would have been eaten/corroded other parts.I bought this battery cleaner - spread it liberally - just once and set it aside for 5 mins. As soon as I sprayed it, there was a white foam (picture attached) and washed it after 5 mins and it was clean !Next I need to protect it with vaseline/grease so that it does not start corroding again.Overall - it is a pretty amazing product which does it job i.e to clean battery contacts.

It worked, but was not as strong as the others I've used. Was around the same price as well. Didn't clean too well, not like the pink stuff. Dried pretty fast overall. Is a thick foam , but needed several applications

This can made messy job of cleaning battery terminals a breeze. I used to mix baking powder with water to neutralize the acid build up on the battery terminals. The problem with that way is baking powder solution would drip down sides of the battery and create mess on the battery tray and driveway underneath the battery. With drought in CA, I wanted to find a better way to clean the terminals without having to use up all the water to rinse out the driveway. The battery had not been cleaned in a couple of years and the top was all black with crud build up on both terminals.As instructed, I sprayed the cleaner foam on top of the battery, especially around the terminals. However, instead of washing off the foam, I used baby wipes to clean up dissolved buildup and dirt. I had to spray the positive terminal twice to get everything off and now the battery looks brand new! I then wiped all the excess liquid off with the paper towel. I waited few minutes for the battery to dry, then sprayed Permatex 80370 Battery Protector and Sealer on the terminals. Easy 10 minutes from dirty battery to clean, brand new looking battery.
