On August 18, 2017 my 9 year old cat was diagnosed with Liver Failure and Chronic Renal Failure, vet told me that we cannot know exactly the damage that the liver has but that it wasn't totally damaged. Our 11 year old cat Oscar had very high liver enzymes due to hyperthyroid disease.He had a successful Radioactive Iodine treatment 6 weeks ago and we started him on the Milk Thistle drops immediately afterwards. He gets a full dose- 4 drops morning+ night in his wet food and he does not mind the taste. We wanted to detox his liver after the toxic radiation treatment, and improve his liver as much as possible.We got back from the Vet today. The new lab results were incredible!Not only is his hyperthyroid completely cured, his liver enzymes had come down to normal levels in just 6 weeks!Today: 5/31/23ALT 30 - down from 47 U/LALKP 50 - down from 182 U/L-The Vet was extremely happy over his new lab tests, as were we!His liver is basically completely healthy again with normal level of liver enzymes. Bought this as an alternative to the powered milk thistle in the capsule that my vet recommended but my cat wouldn’t touch in his food. He will eat this in a lickable treat we just give half a dose per half a treat twice a day and he gets the full dose. We haven’t taken him in for blood work since giving him the liquid milk thistle but he hasn’t had any poop problems since taking it and seems to feel better so we take that as a good sign. Will continue to purchase this.

Sadly, my Cat dos not tolerate this item. I can slip some on his nose to lick off, but he hates it and hides for hours.

I can’t speak for the efficacy of this item since I just started my foster cat on this in last month but at least I can get him to take it mixed in his food. Had no luck w prescription milk thistle since it be easier to cut my leg off than getting him to swallow it. It’s much cheaper than the RX one and easy to use ALTHOUGH I wish they would make the dosing directions easier. Embarrassed to say I had to text my “wasband” and ask him. lol. I wasn’t sure about the bacon flavor but he tolerates it mixed in baby food. Just hoping when we get new blood work done his liver values will be better 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
