Not great…
If you would like to hear the continued message of “just lose some weight or take birth control” to help your PCOS then this book is for you! It’s a very basic guide on PCOS and doesn’t even unpack any of the research that has been done. In fact it just pushes fatphobic medical bias. If you have done any research on PCOS then you will already know most of this information. I could maybe see the plant based eating as being something new for people.

Highly recommend
I can't fault this books. It gives evidence and research for all claims and provides a reasonable, sustainable plan for managing pcos symptoms. It's nice that the authors also have their i stagram to share useful info on pcos too.Highly recommend for anyone who has PCOS or is close to someone who does.

Vielen Dank!

A book that speaks the truth about PCOS with kindness and integrity. A sea of knowledge !!
I loved this book. I have read half already and am so engrossed reading simple and implementable solutions to give so much more hope and positivity for women suffering from PCOS. Being a plantbased health coach guiding women on healthy lifestyle, this book will be my go to for science backed knowledge data base, I trust the hard work and immense effort gone into this book. Aren’t we lucky to have such amazing people to help us see the truth and give us wings to fly to a better place in our health journey?heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Nitu and Nutritionist Rohini :)

A much-needed accessible, sensitive and inclusive resource for anyone living with PCOS
As a health professional who works predominantly in the field of female hormonal health, I am incredibly impressed with "Living PCOS Free". This is an accessible, compassionate and inclusive resource, and one I would recommend to anyone living with PCOS; no stone has been left unturned. The authors not only share their own stories, which adds a very human touch, they have also been scrupulous in their research, and provide comprehensive references. The book is divided in four main sections: 1) Understanding polycystic ovary syndrome, 2) Making informed health choices, 3) Managing PCOS - the use of lifestyle approaches and nutrition to manage the condition of PCOS, and 4) The 21-day PCOS programme with Rohini Bajekal, Nutritionist. The writing is clear, and the authors do a fantastic job of debunking myths around PCOS and summarising main points. I also like the use of case studies, which can be found through the book. The advice that is offered is practical and sensitive, and the 21-day programme includes healthy recipes (and even a recommended shopping list!). The book concludes with helpful further resources and a glossary. Even as a doctor, I have learnt a lot and, as well as recommending to patients, will be advising colleagues to pick up a copy for their clinics too.
