After using this dehumidifier for several weeks, I feel confident sharing my experience based on three main factors: sound, reliability, and cost.Sound:One of the standout features is how quiet this dehumidifier runs. I'm using this dehumidifier in a 900 sq ft basement after a larger well known brand name dehumidifier stop working less than 2 years after purchase. This AIUSEVO is compact and quiet. In a few days it reduced the humidity level from 68% to 48%. The controls are straightforward and the included hose allows for continuous drainage. There's a nice light bar on the top front edge of the unit. It allows the convenience of seeing the unit's status from a distance. Green indicates humidity above 50%, blue when it's lower, and yellow if the bucket is full. My unit came with a registration card that enabled activation of warranty extension from the standard 1 year to 3. I don't know if this is a limited time offer, but it was a very welcomed pleasant surprise given the failure of my previous unit at 9 months after the 1 year of coverage. AIUSEVO sent a nice email after I registered and seem to care and stand behind their product.

This is the second of two purchases, the first being the 1500 dehumidifier. Based on that product performance, I invested in this upgraded unit. I found that this particular unit puts out a lot more water than I expected. So much so, that I bought long tubing from Home Depot to extend the provided hose in order to drain the water right into an unused shower drain in a guest bathroom. I'm running both units, one upstairs, one downstairs, 24/7 to keep the humidity in check. Both units shut off when the selectable preset humidity is acheived. The home is comfortable now without that damp biting chill that I've experienced on occasion, also allowing the HVAC to be set at a nominal and comfortable temperature, thereby achieving a bit of cost savings in terms of limiting natural gas usage. The total Kwh used is offset by the Kwh generated from rooftop solar panels. So far, so good. Looking forward to my next utility bill which I expect to be less expensive that what I've previously experienced. That's the price ya pay for living in a coastal community. My relatives use plastic dessicant bags in each closet and room, that at some point, fill with water. I had never seen that before. I don't know how cost effective that solution is over the course of a year, or many years, but I am pleased with an electronic dehumidifier solution over the purchase, stocking, and replacement of multiple dessicant bags which would be annoying from my POV. Plus with an electronic dehumidifier, you can see an approximation of Rh at any given time in the area of use. To achieve an accurate measurement, the use of an actual hygrometer can be useful when deciding where to place can electonic dehumidifier. Just my 2 cents. Cheers.

My initial reaction upon unpacking was that this dehumidifier is smaller than expected based on purchases over the years of multiple other units of the same capacity. That said, based on heft it appears to be well-built; time will tell. Because I always use the hose drain port with a garden hose, I was surprised and disappointed to find that the port cannot be used to connect a garden hose. Instead, you have to use the provided 6-foot rather small hose. Combine that with a rather short power cord and you're limited on placement within a room. For that and because it's important to me, I knocked off one star. I'll come back to provide updates on performance and reliability.

I chose this dehumidifier after over an hour of searching for the best value for money. My single family home was dangerously humid and I needed something that could get to work immediately. And this product did the trick!Easy to start using, straightforward controls, auto-shutoff when full, a good sized water tank, sturdy wheels for rolling it around the house when it got heavy with water, a fairly long power cable to reach the nearest wall outlet, a colorful light system that tells you the humidity range from a glance, and just a clean look overall. It even blows out slightly warm air (while sucking in the moist air) to help dry the room quicker.Just an overall well built machine!
