Q: Has anyone used it as a sunscreen?

But this is not a sunscreen, nor substitute for a sunscreen. This product is great for dry skin, but sun protection? I don’t think so.

Q: Does it leave that nice carrot color glow and some tint ?

There is a definite tint to the skin - a carrot orange that to me is a slight drawback because I have a very light skin tone. However, it is not overwhelming and I put it on at night. So, if you like the "carrot color glow," you will notice it when you use the product.

Q: Does the carrot oil (made from the flesh) have the same or similar SPF properties as the carrot seed oil does? Are they interchangable in recepies?

Yes, it does. We use it as sun screen when we go to the beach.
