Shortbread House of Edinburgh's Lemon Biscuit Tin 140g

Finger length shortbread biscuits arrived as described: 6 packets of 2 flavours in each box. My boxes arrived in a few days, no breakage. Each flavour, original, stem ginger & dark chocolate orange, are all equally excellent. In partial to simple and prefer the original. Texture is crispy crumbly for both original & orange. The stem ginger is also crispy crumbly with a tad bit of a chew. The ginger is likely the culprit but it’s still nice. I’m not really a shortbread connoisseur but I have tried walkers and a few other brands. I’ll just say I like my shortbread thick, crispy and crumbly and I’ve already ordered more of the original flavour. ;0)

These shortbread cookies were the cherry on top during our holiday’s. The size and dryness of the cookie was perfect with coffee, tea, or as a sweet snack throughout the day. The packaging was sturdy which gave us a fresh taste in every package we opened. Definitely worth the money.

I bought these to include in a gift and am really happy with them for that purpose. Based on the reviews I was worried they would show up broken, but all three boxes arrived with the cookies in great condition.The cute packaging makes them feel nicer than a random box from the grocery store, and the taste and texture are good (got the three pack and immediately snagged one of the extra boxes to keep for myself, lol). The crystallized ginger is well balanced & present without being too sharp or overpowering. The box is also a good size for fitting into a gift basket or box- looks about 4" x 6" or so.That said I would buy them again for gifting, but it was for myself I'd just go for homemade or a less expensive store-bought. They do taste nice but I think you also pay a steep premium for the packaging/branding. I also wish they were all butter rather than including vegetable oils, but that's on me for not reading the ingredients list.

The best shortbread I've ever had. I might wait til next fall to get the fresher bake.

I really like shortbread cookies and prefer to buy from companies out of Scotland or Ireland as they just seem to taste better. I've bought Shortbread House of Edinburgh brand before and have always been satisfied. They make really good shortbread and is a company I would recommend. These arrived packaged well and all "fingers" were spared from destruction. I want to note that there is nothing wrong with these cookies. They arrived fresh and were not crumbly as I read in some other reviews. The reason for my 3 star rating is that I have never had shortbread with stem ginger before and it turns out I'm not a big fan. I typically like ginger but not in large quantities and these have quite a bit. If you love ginger, these would be perfect for you. It was just a bit too much for me but my husband likes them so they won't go to waste.

These cookies have a wonderful texture, and they are not overly sweet as most US cookies are grown-up cookies, excellent with tea.

I been eating shortbread cookies for years. I remember when I traveled to Scotland my brother told me this brand of cookie was the best he had tasted. Myself a little more trained on food I had to try them. This cookies are definitely #1 for me at the moment. Got exited I was able to buy them by Amazon. My brother was sending me this cookies from Scotland which took a while to arrive. The size, texture, crisp, it’s just a perfect shortbread cookie and it’s low in sugar.
