Loved it!
Loved the Series since Until Dawn on PS4. Played it with my girlfriend and she loved it even though she isn’t great at games haha! It’s like a horror film but you play it instead so that’s why she enjoyed it. Cheesy characters and a fun story to play, great for the price.Recommended for couples and friends because of the great Co-Op aspect.

Up there with the best ‘choose your own adventure game’
The Quarry takes its time to build up and let you navigate and submerse yourself into the stunning surroundings and build up characters. The acting is great with some standouts that really invest you into the game. There is an uneasy tension throughout the first few chapters which is just enough to keep you on edge, and when the inciting incident occurs I couldn’t put my controller down. There are so many games that focus the emphasis on ‘your actions will have consequences’ but rarely feel like they do; or at least to the point where you care. With The Quarry however, you know what impacts your choices have. If you like Until Dawn, The Quarry for me has a slight over this, which I wasn’t expecting. You really feel like you are watching a horror movie with The Quarry. It’s well written, has some stand out performances and all the gore and jumps a game like this should have. The score and songs used are excellent and compared to Until Dawn, The Quarry has the edge on its story premise. Whilst not having a shock twist (for me anyway) this didn’t bother me.The one aspect where Until Dawn still succeeds in is with the endings. In particular the very last ending and the use of linking the credits with the story. It’s difficult to describe without giving away spoilers, but the ending(s) compared to Until Dawn fall a little short. However, in terms of playability; I think I’ve probably completed The Quarry more times already than Until Dawn, so I definitely got my money’s worth.

A bit disappointed with the ending
I absolutely love these games! These are my absolutely favourite type of games. I have all the dark pictures collection and waited for this being released since hearing about it. The scenery is beautiful, the story line is great, the gameplay was fantastic and the dialog feels genuine/natural. This is an excellent game and having finished it after around 9 hours, we managed to achieve a good ending. I was a bit disappointed by how it ended though. I felt the ending was quite abrupt. Maybe it’s just due to the choices we made, but I would have liked to have seen the characters meet up, a curse by the gypsy to bring a further story/pathway within the story or just something more than the way it finished. I would also liked to have had the option to have been able to save the characters that you can’t actually save. I still love the game and would highly recommend it. I’ll play it again in a few months I’m sure. This still hasn’t beaten my favourite “Detroit become human” game, but it’s a close second. I now can’t wait for the next Supermassive/Dark Pictures “The Devil in me”
