Ordered this for my Nikon D7200. Although it is plastic, it has a nice , heavy duty feel. Fit beautiful on the camera, the functions are very nice, and doesn't make the camera feel over weight. Adding the grip to the camera really makes switching from portrait to landscape very easy with the built in shudder button, and controls.

Purchased for a Nikon D7200. Although this is for an outdated DSLR that I still use and love using it has helped me ergonomically appreciate the D7200 even more. The facility and ease of use feel like I have a NEW camera!

The product arrived safely and in good time.

So far these items work according to specification. I have not tried the remote, since I already have the Nikon remote. The batteries charged within the specified time. The grip is somewhat bulky feeling, but I have large hands so it fits fine in my hands, however a person with smaller hands may find it cumbersome. The (6) AA battery insert is a fantastic backup to have in your camera bag for those extra long days or when you forget to charge your batteries.Okay, now for the negative critique. I actually have only three issues with this grip, but one of them really isn't their (Vivitar's) fault, it's Nikon's (since it emulates Nikon's MB-D15).1. I don't know why they did it, but having to place one battery in the body and one in the grip IS NOT what I'd call user-friendly. Nikon's $230-250 battery grip is designed the same way, so don't waste your money on it.2. The second issue is a great idea, but a little poorly executed. The grip has a rubber access port for an optional wired power source (similar to a video camera) to be placed within the battery grip that allows an exit point for the adapter plug. The rubber port cover is very soft and somewhat difficult to put back into place. I can see this easily tearing or breaking after several uses if you're not careful.3. Finally, the third issue is a very minor one. When screwing in the grip, you will most likely have to manually (with a little force) push in the grip-to-camera connector, so that the grip seats evenly and properly to the camera. The reason for this is because it is a very snug fit (which is good) and is next to the battery compartment of the camera. When you are screwing it in there is resistance on that side, thus causing the connector to insert unevenly. I found that you have to alternate between evenly seating the connector and turning the screw. You'll easily figure it out after the first time doing it properly, then it'll be an after thought, which is why I say it's a very minor issue. NOTE: keep in mind that the removal process is the same just reversed.Overall, this is a great deal and that's why I give it 4 stars.

I recently purchased this Battery Grip Bundle for my D7200, SO FAR THE BATTERIES HAVE BEEN HOLDING AS GOOD A CHARGE AS THE ONES I GOT WITH THE NIKON D7200. AS FAR AS PERFORMANCE I COULD'NT ASK FOR BETTER USABLE PERFORMANCE FOR THEPRICE OF ALL THIS . THE FIT WAS MUCH BETTER THAN EXPECTED AFTER READING FEEDBACK FROM OTHER PEOPLE USING THE D7200 , IT FIT IN THE CONNECTOR TIGHTLY WITH JUST NORMAL PRESSURE. THERE WAS NO GAP BETWEEN THE CAMERA BODY. ASOF RIGHT NOW I DON'T THINK YOU CAN GO WRONG FOR THE PRICE AND IF THERE WERE A PROBLEM I AM CONFIDENT THE SELLER WOULD REPLACE OR REFUND WITHOUT A HASSLE, BEFORE SPENDING THREE TIMES AS MUCH FOR THE NIKON NAME BRAND SAVETHE MONEY TRY THIS. ALL OF THE BUTTONS FUNCTION AS THEY SHOULD. I'M MORE THAN PLEASED.

I purchased the Battery Grip Bundle for my D7200, and the only button on the grip works is the shutter release button. The main contra dial, the sub command dial and the multi selector button do not work. I reattached the grip 5 times to make sure I was getting a good connection and fully charged the batteries. I also tried it with the optional AA batteries and tray, with the same results.It may work quite well with a 7100, but not the 7200.

Fantastic grip. Bought for my new d7200. Easy to figure out how to attach and put batteries in. Love the heft and grip it gives my camera! I'm not a fan of tiny point and shoots! The extra batteries are a blessing too (wasn't paying attention to that detail and was surprised I got extra batteries). The remote shutter release is awesome. Lightweight and works ideally for my self portrait fine art style work. Have not tried the car charger yet but am sure I will utilize it and it is a handy thing for an on-site photographer with no access to wall plugs or electricity! Love the whole package!

Good & bad .... The good news is that I received more than I ordered. I only ordered the battery grip but also reveived an extra AA battery tray & a remote sutter release. What I ordered works just fine. The bad news is the extra AA battery tray fully loaded with fresh AA batteries does not work at all.
