GearIT 12/2 Speaker Wire (50 Feet) 12AWG Gauge - in Wall Audio Speaker Wire Cable / CL2 Rated / 2 Conductors - OFC Oxygen-Free Copper, White 50ft

I used this in a basement finish job. There were 6 speaker runs and some short connections for the amplifier. Very well made cable, but be warned that 12 gauge is thicker than most "squeeze to insert" speaker jacks. On a couple of speakers, I had to lightly solder the twisted wire ends so I could push the wire in to the speaker jacks with pliers.My only gripe is the rather large spool it came on is very flimsy and broke the first time I pulled some wire. Made it very difficult to run the wire by myself, because the spool would not just sit against a wall and turn while I pulled the cable.

Needed a long run, best value for the money.I use Cardas cables for my house system, these went to the barn, 50’ runs, great full sound, no deterioration on the cables themselves over 5 years of abuse in a dusty and non climate controlled environment

But it all came together great. The amp powers my 4 kickers perfectly. I did have a small problem with the amp with the remote relay cutting the power off the amp when the radio turned off. The radio still has a small voltage of 5v on the remote wire when in off mode. This 5v was still enough to not let this amp shut off, but the subwoofer amp that was in parallel using a fused distribution block did not have same problem. I overcame this problem using a simple 12v dc ice cube relay block... it dropped all my voltage at both amps when radio was off.I'm very happy with my Rockville products and the sound quality is amazing. Perfect for my 18' boat. Had to buy a new Optima 750cca battery though to replace older battery.. that cost more than my system. Still being on the lake today with that big smile on my face made up for all the hard work and money!

Works as advertised

This cable was perfect for my use. I ordered two different sizes. The 12 AWG was used for my front tower speaker and center Def Tech 8060 and has excellent quality on the sound. Then I used the 14 AWG fr the rest of my system, I did like that besides the white cover of protection on the inside each cable (right and left) are each one individually covered too with red and black. Cable is flexible and not hard wire like I have seen before. I used it in my living room for my surround speakers through dry wall and delivers great quality also did use for outdoor rock speakers as well. I felt the protection of the cable could handle Florida weather for out side but I still added a cover to be 100% secure.
