Well, it finally happened.
Well, it finally happened that I needed to use the taser stick... and it worked like a charm. It wasn't a bear, as I had expected, but a dog that came at me on a walking trail with hackles and tail raised, legs stiff, and growling. I hit the button and the sound of the taser made the dog turn and run with his tail tucked. Great product, and I'm so glad the sound was enough so I didn't have to touch the dog with it.

It works!
I purchased only because our cabin is way up north in the woods and when the guys are gone at the land with no cell service I am alone with three dogs. We have seen on the cameras, coyotes, and bears. I do have bear spray and bells, but I decided I might need a little extra protection with the three dogs. Let’s just say this thing is serious business! Almost to the point im afraid to use it.

this is really a weapon
we have a lot of wild coyotes in our area...they sometimes follow people and pets waiting for the right time to strike...with the walking stick I feel that I can defend my dogs and myself should I need too...also it is good for us older folks to take around with us to perhaps defend ourselves if needed....wish the button to turn it on was a bit easier to get to and find to turn it on fast..but it is a good safety tool for us ...kids should not have one as i think they could be misused....all in all glad to have it

Great to have for walks in the neighborhood or with the dogs
Sturdy and packs a punch. Works great. I use this for walking the dogs in the event of a stranger or animal attack.

The mechanism to keep the battery in failed.
I received one as a gift and I really liked it but it did start to fall apart. It's useless not - just a walking stick - the battery fell out during a walk which was very confusing because there is a mechanism to keep it in but i guess it was faulty. I'm bummed because I really liked it - but it is just a walking stick now:( I'd love to know if there is a way to get it repaired,
