200x250mm / 8x10 inch White Metal Access Panel - Inspection Hatch - Revision Door

Already had cut the opening in the plasterboard as per the details in the description, hatch arrived next day and was fitted in under a minute - bit of silicone around the perimeter and stuck to plasterboard surface, you can put a few screws in for extra security but it was such a good fit and with the silicon I used didn’t need it. This hatch doesn’t have a catch or a lock so check if that is something you need, for my application it worked perfectly - I was considering making a frame and a door in timber to fit there but for the price of this and metal construction it’s a no brainer. Highly recommended.

Used to box in a water isolation valve made the job tidy and neat

I needed to create a hole in a dividing wall behind a bathroom to replace a tap otherwise the only other alternative was to take out the bathtub... With this inspection hatch, I can easily hide the hole and in the future I won't have any issue to replace the tap. Compared to other hatches I saw, this one is sturdy and there is almost no gap between the frame and the door. To really avoid any draft to come out from behind the bathtub, I put some fibrerglass in the hole behind the hatch.
