They will not fit in the cage of the elite. However they do fit on the Pro and Sport models.

What happens if you put these on a dumbbell with a small head like a 5lb or 10lb. Is it okay for the weight of the to sit on these Micro Gainz clips?

Yes that would be ok to use these with 10lb or 15lb dumbbells. The plates are plenty strong enough to support the weight.
