The best foot massage aside from the human touch that I have experienced.

I tried this to help with persistent plantar fasciitis from running. This massager did not feel "good" on my feet but was somewhat painful (as others have mentioned) when the air bags inflated and held my feet tight against the rollers. However the discomfort lessened over time as my feet toughened up. I would angle my feet so the massager would really press into the problem areas. Using this device in combo with "Heel that Pain" inserts for walking seemed to be the key for me, and before long my plantar fasciitis went away where I could run again without limits. I had tried all kinds of products, night splints, various techniques, etc., before these two and nothing else worked for me. So I like to say "this is the massager you need, but maybe not the massager you want" if you just want some wussy treatment to make your feet feel better temporarily. This is like Marine Corp Boot Camp for your feet.

Big and bulky

I got this as a gift for my husband, as he works on his feet all day. He was weary when he opened the gift - not confident it would not be strong enough to really massage his feet. He was pleasantly surprised and absolutely thrilled with this massager. It has three settings - for me even the lightest setting is quite intense (I have small boney feet and I sit at a desk all day, so this wasn't designed for me), but i still love it! I heard that it helps with sleep, so i started to use it before bed and it shockingly it really does help with sleep- I have been falling asleep fast and sleeping more soundly. My husband however swears by this machine. He said the air pressure and rolling balls are better than a manual foot massage and that his feet feel completely refreshed after 15 minutes. The heat is not too intense, but comfortable. Then there are the leg cuffs that come with it - AMAZING. You can use with or without the leg cuffs, which is nice. This is a favorite item in our house (Oprah was right)... I highly recommend.

During the holidays, amazon was marketing the things tried by Oprah. She seemed to rave about it (at least in that marketing video) and I decided to try it out. It's not bad. It'll never feel like a real human's hands (obvi) but it is still enjoyable. I don't "walk away" (get it?) feeling like I got super pampered from say, a salon, but it's nice to put this on while watching TV. People complain about the pressure, but as an asian, I love the pressure settings. No pain no gain right?

I bought this as a gift to myself this Christmas. After years of running, being active, I thought this may help the discomfort I was feeling with sensitive feet. It really is a great massager. I don’t believe it would fit men over size 12. It is not a tingly, vibrating foot pillow, so don’t buy this if that is what you want. This is true shiatsu tough love on your feet. The first week of low intensity massage was eye opening and really loosened up all the tight knots. Since then I try to do 15 minutes after dinner every night and it is really helping work the knots out of my feet. I do find it helpful and worthwhile, I would buy this again. Feet are pretty small to haul around all that body weight when you think about it. I’m still on low intensity after 6 weeks, and that is working fine, very tough massager this is. Good for what ails you.

I could take a star off for how much this cost ($200) or just admit that the improvement in my foot pain is worth far more than this cost. I canceled my appointment with the foot-and-ankle Ortho guy after receiving and using this. For those with incredibly painful plantar fasciitis and other foot/ankle pain, this is a god-send. I just can't do the self-massage every day the way this machine does. I suggest you start off slow and take a break if you get soreness. I didn't feel much in the way of heat and so contacted the seller, who sent me another unit. Nope, there's really not much in the way of heat, but I'm OK with that as it still did an amazing job of relieving my PF pain.
