These scissors are one of those perfect objects. They cut super well, but they also have such a nice chunky look and feel, and that really adds to the whole. Good price too

I needed a small pair of scissors at work, for small projects. I lost (or someone "borrowed" the last pair, which were from a well known company, so I figured I'd give these a try. The fact that they are made in Japan had a huge influence, for sure. I work on Japanese cars all day, and I know their quality.These little scissors do not disappoint! They cut super smooth, and accurately. Very well made. No surprise there. My only complaint, and it's minor, is the the grips in the handles are the same size, I am more used to ones that have a larger grip hole on one side for gripping (think oval grip on one side).MADE IN JAPAN.

These are great little Japanese scissors! They are reasonably priced, feel good in the hand, and will cut anything put in it's mouth. I had some Italian scissors that I thought were sharp, but these with the micro serrated bottom, just glide through all materials. They are really nice. Wish they had traditional sized scissors for supreme leverage in certain tasks, but this little Olfa is up to cut almost anything by itself.They also make some wicked sharp utility blades if you need one of those or a couple. Good stuff OLFA!

i purchased a pair of these scissors over 10 years ago and I use them multiple times a day. They areas sharp as the day i aquired them. I don't often leave reviews but the quality of the scissors left me no choice. I have purchased these as gifts in different sizes and the recipients have all commented on thequality. I've cut every thing from carpet to poultry with these. Highly recommended.

I saw somewhere among the other reviews that the plastic handles were "cheap" as if to say weak or inferior material- it seems. This is the 2nd pair of the brand that I own, the 1st pair I bought about 15 years ago and the handles are just as good as they were then. I purposely searched for the Olfa brand since my 1st pair (which is the smaller size than what I bought this time) came from Grainger and was pleased to find these at such a great value. My original pair is still in dangerous cutting power condition and I have used it on many different things. It has been on permanent loan to my daughter who uses it to cut her dogs' pills in half (per the script) after I saw her trying to do that with a knife and imagined her slipping and having a disaster. And they are still quite sharp too. The new pair's sharpness is stellar and only then did I realize that there has only been a slight reduction of my 1st pair's edges in all that time- you wouldn't want to slip using them- and even more true with my new super-sharp pair. Best all-around scissors I've ever owned/used! Both pairs! And the serrations do in fact keep the material you are cutting from being 'pushed-out' of the cut you are trying to make.

I used these at my job and went home and bought them. Love the serrated edge keeps them sharp and strong. I use them for fabric, in the kitchen, in the garden and for every day use. Highly recommend.
