Succinctly describes the greats of history, highly recommend and glad I stumbled across it. From YouTube to writing, not losing his style along the way, a good way to find out who you may be interested in reading about further.

Interesting summary of a wide range of ideas
This book examines some key concepts and ideas, emerging from philosophy, literature, science etc. It gives short summaries and interpretation of those ideas. It is readable, and interesting. I guess most people will find something new here. My main gripe is that it needed a good editor. Some mistakes, and clunky writing at times - knocked a star off for me. Overall though, not a bad way to spend a couple of hours.
