Waste of money
Product does not work, test morning breath result 1. Test 30 mins after brushing teeth result 2. Dont buy, waste of money. Buy tanita breath checker instead it's more accurate

Breath odor sensor, small enough for a purse. Rechargeable with usb C.
I worry about having bad breath. This is a super simple device that helps to actually measure halitosis. It is described as a MEMS sensor. I had to look that up, it general term for microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) are microscopic sensors, actuators and transducers with moving mechanical parts at the microscopic scale. It uses something like a 32 bit CPU so it is really, really fast. It can easily measure the odor and rate it on a scale of 1~4. Then it suggest some kind of social distancing.. Crazy technology in a stick. The seller explains that bad breath comes from methyl mercaptan (CH3SH) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) . This device can can accurately determine sulfides of bad breath, with an accuracy as high as One Ten Millionth (0.1ppm) . All this technology, but it is so easy to use. The instructions are really helpful, first of all they say to let it charge at least 3 hours before the first use. A usb c cable is included. THere is a pop up sensor on the top, a little push and it opens up. After a long press, the device gives you a countdown while the sensor "heats" up. It does not get hot,, at all. You keep the sensor close to your mouth and blow for five seconds. When it has enough of a sample to work with, it beeps.. and then displays the results. So easy. The results show a big number, which is your score, and a smaller value which is you suggested social distance, in cm. At the very bottom is your breath odor condensity. in parts per million. Overall, I am really fascinated by this. I used it early in the morning and had a 2.. I tested a half hour (recommended by the seller) after brushing my teeth and gargling with mouth wash, and it did go down. I think this would be useful if you had an important meeting and wanted to make a great impression.

I believe it works...
People don't think it does anything cuz they keep getting the same reading test after test after test and that's fair. The instructions on HOW TO use this device are weak.Try cupping your hand around the device making a tunnel to your mouth and blow hard repeatedly. The machine needs a good sample of your breath to measure it. So give it a haw then blow it in and repeat until it vibrates to signal the end of the test.It works...

This is such a cool and simple device; only use over time will tell its accuracy level - see UPDATE
This device is so cool. I like the idea of detecting bad mouth odors. It is important to read the instructions carefully to ensure one is not testing right after brushing or eating or drinking. This arrived fully charged but a USB cable is provided for charging. There is also an instruction pamphlet and a cheat card.To use, I just press the power button and pop out the top sensor. Once the heating is done, I stay about 1cm away from the sensor and blow on it for 5 seconds. The reading is given after that. This device detects the volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) in one's breath. So far I've been getting only level 1's, which is basically breadth that has a slight odor and is the lowest reading one can get. Since I brush my teeth a lot, this is one I would expect. However, I am going to test when I wake up in the morning as my breath is terrible then (in my opinion). I want to see if the reading changes. The current price of $40.77 ($47.96 minus 15%) is on the high side of competitively priced for this breadth analyzer.UPDATE: I tested this on someone else and so far I have only received a level 1 reading. I also tested it on myself when I wake up in the morning and I still get a level 1 reading. I can only assume that this is working as I thought I would get higher than level 1. I still enjoy using this and will update my review if I ever get a higher reading.FINAL UPDATE: I decided to lower my ranking from 5 to 3 stars. One reason is because no matter when I test my breath, my reading is always 1 and in the green with 50 CM and 0.4PPM (whatever the 50 and 0.4 mean, I have no idea as I can't find an explanation in the manual). I've tested myself over 15 times on various days and also several times upon waking up. Another reason is because the odor detector button does not pop up fully when I press it. Instead I have to pull it up after it partially pops up. I still like the fun of this tool but am unsure if it really works. I know my boyfriend tested at the same odor level as me (though I don't remember the CM and PPM). I hesitate to stop people in the street to test this.ANOTHER FINAL UPDATE: I finally got a level 2 after eating a dish with onions a couple of hours before and not brushing my teeth. It took me forever to get this level 2. Therefore, I can guarantee that this is working. Since I was only getting level 1's, I decided to order another one from a different brand and got the same level 2.

Neat Gadget!
This is a new but welcome technology for me. I don’t suffer from chronic bad breath but there are those times when I wonder if I have it. The tester is about the size of a car key fob and will fit nicely in your pocket, purse or backpack. It automatically shuts off after use, but you need to remember to close the sensor to prevent it from becoming damaged or dirty.I have tested this several times including after meals, just after waking up, and after drinking beer. Readings generally came in at 1 or 2 so far. It does seem to be working though since even at a “1” it suggests different social distances (cm) and concentrations (ppm). The tester came with instructions, a quick reference card, and a USB charging cable. The tester was partially charged when received and took less than an hour to fully charge.

Stop working after 3 months.
