This 4.5" Bemis raised toilet seat product is exactly what it says it is, the only thing I would add is little thin rubber pieces to help from slippage. The slippage is very minimal. The seat stays in place for the most part. It is extremely light and very easy to remove for cleaning purposes and future relocation if needed. My mother's bathroom toilet was extremely low, due to her living in a leased apartment we could not change the toilet. She is very stubborn and is not ready to come live with me quite yet, so this seat has made me feel a little more comfortable. There is no lid to close the seat opening and no way that I am aware of to add one. My mother's toilet is a round one but this product is made oval to fit both, with two sets to wholes for the screws to position the seat for either toilet type. That feature allows it to fit good enough showing a tiny portion of the rim in the rear so not an exact fit. I decided not to return it because I had already purchased the Bemis 3" with Bidet which I loved even more but my mother had a whole fit about touching the water lines so I returned it. Of course I installed this one without her around for my own sanity and wasn't willing to swap it out again, for that small portion of the rim showing. I purchased the used version, and it looked and came packaged just as if it was new so I am assuming it was a return. So as far as savings "Ching Ching" this one is a winner definitely value for my money. I hope this review helps because I know the its hard trying to care for your aging loved ones, especially if they're stubborn. At the end of the day, she finally used the toilet called me and was very appreciative and said thank you because now I can get on and off the toilet very easily without hurting my knees (knee replacements from the past) and she also said it was very comfortable and not cold like her original toilet seat. At the end of it all the problem is solved for safety, the height is perfect for very low toilet seats, comfortable, and not cold to the touch.

I ordered this because my right hip is bone on bone, and I’m facing surgery. I wish I had ordered this raised toilet seat before recently because it has made it 100% easier to get up and down. Along with the height, side handles, it’s actually bolted onto the toilet itself. So it is very secure as far as plopping down and getting up from. I can’t rave enough on how awesome the seat is. I would say, if you are shopping and looking for this type of item, that your search is now over. I know you will not be disappointed with this product.

Good quality for price. Had handyman do install and can only say he was done very quickly. My elderly mother liked it so much in her room we got another for downstairs and she was SOOO grateful when she saw it so we know it really makes a difference for her.

This is the second time I've purchased this. I did it again because the seat is so much better than a standard raised seat. With this, I didn't have to install regular grab bars in the toilet room and it is very sturdy. I only gave it 4 stars because it doesn't easily fit the a Kohler skirted toilet. The bolts aren't spaced quite right and you can't use the provided nuts to tighten it to the toilet. I had to use regular hex nuts and washers to fasten it. If you have a Kohler skirted toilet and you're not handy, don't buy this.

Bought this for my MIL for after her back surgery. Even the Occupational and Physical therapists both approved. It worked perfectly. It does make a small noise as if it's loose but it is not. It is very safe and sturdy. It is not going to break. Be sure to order the correct type for your toilet.

Purchased for Mom in assisted living facility to keep her safe while utilizing her toilet. Easy assembly and easily attached to toilet.
