For years we had used mothballs in the crawlspace under the house and they seemed to work just fine but had a crew out to inspect under the house and they refused to work with the odor from mothballs. Didn't actually see snakes fleeing but the last crew appreciated the lack of odor and didn't find any snakes under the house.

Great amount of repellent balls for the price. No bad smell, easy to put in the bags and tie to patio furniture (if that's what you want) or just put on the ground in spaces where snakes have been seen.And - I haven't seen any more snakes!!

We placed these around the garden by the house to ward off garter snakes and my house stunk the entire month of August like moth balls. The strongest moth balls imaginable. No candle or air freshener could cover it. It was awful!!!!!

They smell great but potent when you are taking them out inserting them into their individual nylon sacks and placing them in your key outdoor areas. The question I was wondering is how long do these work and does heavy rainfall lessen their potency ?
