Good product.
Works great for head joints. Easy to control with no problem avoiding the upper and lower courses. The tip actually drills and the shaft easily removes old mortar.

Worked as well or better than expected
Bought this for mortar removal in preparation for re-pointing a chimney. Had previously purchased a 4 flute carbide bit that was useless against the hard mortar. This 5/16 x 4" diamond bit cut into the mortar quickly, but it does not have a sharp tip to guide or start a path, so I used a 1/4" x 4" cutting wheel (Ripper) for initial removal. The BRSCHNITT bit worked well in places where the radius of the cutting wheel prevented digging into corners.

Get these for clean brick removal without damaging them
I can't say enough about these things, if you want to pull brick out without damaging them, this right here is the bees knees. These things eat grout faster than a fat kid at a noodle bar.1000% recommend, super durable, easy to use, and a great design.

Does the job
Screwed onto my Dewalt small grinder no problem and made mince meat of the grout around the bricks. Just be careful to control this cause it will chew through or into your bricks pretty quickly.Great product

good value
very good value I use these on various materials from metal latches to tile and stone. I have one on my DeWalt die grinder locked and loaded its really handy for enlarging holes and just various grinding tasks. I am not sure if its rated for metal I mean its diamond after all and I use it primarily to adjust door latches that don't latch right and surprisingly held up really well the bit I used looks just like the new un used bit in the package very durable, The best type of bit I have found do far great value!

Works great. Wears out fast.
Works great. But wears out quickly. Pic is wear after grinding out about 6 sqft of brick joints on thin brick with Type N mortar grouted joints, type S polymodified bed mortar. The wear grove has to be from the back edge of the brick. So may not wear as fast with full solid brick but if thin brick or engineered brick with holes if there is a edge within its length will go fast.

Work fine but short lived
These work ok but wear out pretty quick when used on concrete

Outstanding!
Used this raking bit yesterday, having seen it on Amazon and on a whim purchased it. I am restoring a foundation on a 100+ year old house and use manual chisels to remove cracking/aged mortar from betwixt stones. I had this raking but in my tool box and decided to attach to my 4” dewalt angle grinder to do a test to see it this raking bit would make me happy…and yes it did! I love this bit and chews up old mortars quickly. Used a stubby version first, but switched to this bit and was amazed how well it performed. My feed rate was adjusted for the density of the target materials and chewed up a storm. I was happy!
