Nice item for blinging out high-performance fans
Please be aware that this is for 4 pin analog RBG connections, NOT 3 pin digital! Not a whole lot to say about this. It's super easy to install, since you just screw it on with the fan. The LEDs are spaced evenly and narrowly enough that it doesn't give it an individual LED feel and really does appear to be a ring of light. With all of the LEDS lit (white light), it's really quite bright! It will of course be dimmer the fewer LEDs are lit. So if you access only blue or only red, for example, it will be exactly 1/3 as bright as white. So if you are looking for really bright red or something, you might find this disappointingly dim.For those with mobos with 4-pin RBG headers, this works great. Each fan light can be chained to more fan lights, so I have 5 of these without having to use a hub. I just daisy chained from one to the other, easy as pie. You do need to pick up the Phanteks 4 pin adapter since Phanteks uses a propriety connection instead of the standard 4 pin connection.I like this product. It was a cheap way to give my high performance Noctua fans RBG effects.

These look really cool but are a bit of a pain to install.
The effect is really nice, even on matte grey fans. The leds are diffused pretty nicely so for the most part it looks like a nice solid ring of light and not like individual leds. I already had a phanteks rgb strip so I had all the hardware I needed to connect them up to the RGB header on my motherboard, but if this is your first phanteks RBG product then you will need their proprietary adapter cable because they wont fit onto your motherboards RGB header with whats included in the package for this particular item.My only complaint is that these need to be screwed to the fans and the screws that were included aren't the best self tapping screws. You really have to work to screw them in and I stripped one of the included screws so one of the halos is only mounted with three screws, which in itself isn't a huge problem but I'm somewhat annoyed by the non symmetry, though I'm lucky that it was only one. The noctua fans that I put these on included much nicer self tapping scews that pretty much went right in with no trouble.Seriously though, these look really cool and allow you to add RGB to any fan, which is nice for me because I was set on going with noctua (who doesn't make RGB fans). Putting them on was worth the bit of frustration, just make sure you have the proper cables and an RGB header on your motherboard (or at least an RGB controller).

Product looks great.
This works great after you buy the 'Phanteks RGB LED 4 Pin Adapter' separately as it's not included.

Amazon delivered on Sunday night - that was amazing! Installation was pretty easy
First, Amazon delivered on Sunday night - that was amazing!Installation was pretty easy. I made my life a bit difficult because I intended to install this on my Cryorig H7 CPU cooler and not just any fan! It made it harder because the fan on the cooler is held on by metal clips that slightly block the screw holes. Still, I was able to squeeze it on there, plug it into one of my Phantek LED strips and it immediately turned on.There is a slight gap between the fan and this halo in the picture but that is because of those metal clips. I tried it on the black fan behind the CPU tower which you can see in the picture and it was nice and snug but it looks much better on the white fan blades on the cooler. My older Motherboard doesn't have an RBG controller so I use the Phantek p400s case controller for the lights and this is synchronized with my two LED strips and the front of the case.Such a great affordable method to add color to my existing (expensive) fans

Great idea, but low quality LED and control
The Phanteks Halos are a decent alternative to add RGB to non-RGB fans or additional color for inspired color blending. However, there are significant drawbacks for the quality of the LEDs. The light inside the rings aren't diffused very much, so they don't really "glow" as much as they shine a "spotlight" onto your fans. I have mine on black fans, but the color diffusion will work better with clear or white fans. The other downside is the lack of control with each individual LED making this RGB as opposed to Adressable-RGB. Maybe I overlooked some software that can enable control, but if you want a more premium look, I'd just spend the extra money and get the Lux version of the Phanteks Halos
