I am charmed
When I first got these speakers I kinda glossed over them and put them in storage. Then I brought them out again several months later. I always thought they looked good and the price was great, but what about the sound. Something happened to my listening education since I first listened to them. They seem to handled extra wattage well and are full, punchy and interesting to my ear. A good speaker makes me want to listen to more of my music to see what it sounds like on these speakers. Hearing some sounds for the first time and feeling that I enjoy the music more than I think I should for $50 per speakers. They look good, sound interesting and cost very little. I almost want to try the larger ones but feel like they would only be well, not these. I think these speakers have something that other speakers don't have, especially for the price.

Better than much more expensive speakers, blown away!
First of all I want to say that I've been into high end stereo gear for many decades. I've designed and built my own speaker systems with high end components. Like most audiophiles, I'm always looking for something better. The problem is that there is no "one" fits all music "perfect" speaker. There are so many types of listening. I like hard driving ( in your face) speakers with that kick in the chest for my workouts, I also like spacious open sounding speakers with some volume when I'm doing stuff around the house. And I also like low to medium volume intricate sounding speakers when I just want to sit and sip on wine and really listen to everything going on in the details of the music.Well I can tell you that these Pyle's were an incredible blow me away experience. Totally unexpected. I wanted something that sounded great at moderate levels that didn't becoming annoying at long listening sessions as many do. I ordered three pairs of speakers from Amazon to make comparisons. The first were KEF Q350 much acclaimed bookshelf speakers. These I found to have exaggerated boomy upper bass tones and less than smooth mids and highs. The second were the Elac debut 2.0 B6.2 bookshelf speakers these were very similar to the KEF's but at least less expensive than the $500 sale price of the KEF's.The Pyles were substantially lighter in weight than the other two pairs, that was the first thing I noticed. With that, I assumed they were of a lesser quality. Very wrongfully so! So what do these sound like? These speakers sound like much larger speakers with deep bass! Not boomy but near flat. The speakers have a very flat clear response and easy to listen to right out of the box. The mids and highs are defined but smooth. I did adjust the Internal EQ on my Amazon high definition audio app, which I highly recommend! I use a high quality DAC Bluetooth receiver to deliver the sound to my stereo. I cut down just a tad around 2k and slightly boosted the lowest frequency to bring out the lows a bit more (and they can take it).Overall,.in my opinion, Pyle knocked it out of the park with these little gems. I could not be happier. At $125 for the pair, these are the best kept secret in the industry!

Pyle Bookshelf Speakers
The speakers sound great,I would recommend you have a powerful amp and equalizer to get the best sound. The bass suffers at high volume s. Good build quality. Overall for the price they are good.

They are a bit large for desktop application but fantastic bookshelf speakers
MUCH better than I expected!! Great bass punch. I am using these as studio monitors they are passive (meaning not powered) but they sound like a million bucks!! Highly recommend!

Surprising substance for this price
These are hefty, well made speakers. Packaging was very good, but wire wasn't included.I tried using them with an underpowered receiver and quickly realized that a properly powered amp is needed (>100W/channel). As with most bookshelf speakers, you'd want to add a subwoofer for lower range coverage. The sound is clear and abundant.I think I've got plenty for my money.

Hidden little gems!!!
So far, so good. The build quality looks great. I got them hooked to my amplifier/receiver and started playing several different genres of music to be able to hear all the sounds these speakers can produce. I was pleasantly surprised. Great sound from such a small package. These speakers hit all the notes, from high frequency to low frequency. For a 6.5 speaker it has really great bass, granted it's not a 10,12, or 15 inch sub, but for what it is, it has a good punch to them. And I've noticed that the more I use these speakers the better they sound. I never thought you had to break in speakers, but after a little research on the subject, you absolutely need to break them in. I have them hooked up to my 500w amplifier, my Amp has 125w per channel. I have slowly been up-ing the volume to break them in. My receiver/amplifier goes up to 30 on volume, and I can now push the 125w per channel on volume 30 with absolutely no detectable distortion. So if you're looking for a decent speaker package at a low price point, these speakers don't disappoint. Granted that these are not high end tower speakers or other bigger home stereo speakers, but for them being a bookshelf speaker they work amazingly. We have an open concept living room/kitchen. So my amplifier and speakers are under my TV. So with them being in what I would consider a medium to large room, living/kitchen area I'm in a space that's 30'x17' and these speakers don't disappoint. So now I do want to,,, in the near future, add a passive 12" subwoofer to take some of the low end bass off of the bookshelf speakers. So basically my overall opinion of these speakers are that you get a great bang for your buck. I would definitely recommend these for people looking for great sounding speakers at a low price point.
