It's a Spyderco, not much more to say!!!
I had been looking and researching the Spyderco Salt Series of knives for awhile. I process logs into slabs, deminsional lumber and any wood product you can think of, so I needed a knife that had high visibility, corrosion resistance and a certain amount of toughness. Over the last two weeks, this knife has proven itself to be just the knife I needed. After all I have done with it the blade is still hair shaving sharp. So if you are looking for a great knife that his almost 100% free of corrosion, has high visibility, is a great slicer, tough and looks good then you won't be disappointed with this knife or the Salt Series of knives!!!

One of the best Spyderco blades
In my opinion. The H1 and H2 steel does not rust, at all, ever. Had an original Salt1 as my EDC as a diver I'm saltwater and 8yrs and not a spot of corrosion. Lost it recently and bought this Salt2 as it's replacement.

Spyderco Guaranty
Another excellent knife. This one will accompany me on my fishing trips. The reason for the 4 stars is the fact that the knife was not as razor sharp as i am used to with the Spyderco. i had to touch it with a ceramic rod to get it where i want it to be, but so far i am loving it.Super light too, so it wont pull say light shorts down.

After 1 Year, Still a Top-Notch EDC Knife
Over the past few years, I have been on the hunt for the perfect EDC knife. I live on the eastern coast of the US, so I often spend time at the beach or on a boat in the salty coastal creeks. I don't use my EDC knives too heavily but I like having one on me nearly all the time for utility purposes, including in the boat and at the beach. So, I need a knife that can stand up to light blade usage, heavy carry usage, salt water, and which disappears in the pocket. I also like to open beers with the flat side of the thumb ramp, so my knives need a bit of extra durability where that is concerned. This little knife does it all while being surprisingly tough and lightweight. I've carried it almost nonstop for about a year and a half, and it shows no signs of wearing out. I've opened probably 150 beers with the thumb ramp, unscrewed 1 or two screws with the tip out of necessity, cut open loads of boxes, gone swimming in the ocean with it multiple times, and have gotten sweat on it on many occasions. The only times it's gotten a thorough cleaning are the two times that I've accidentally washed it in my washing machine. Despite all my abuse, the lockup is still nice and tight, there's surprisingly little blade play for a knife without metal liners, no cracks in the plastic and I've only had to sharpen it once.On top of that, there's no rust on the thing, period. I don't know what some of the other reviews are talking about with the H1 logo rusting. Mine has never had that problem. As far as ergonomics go, there's not much to complain about. A Delica 4 would be a better choice if you want to use your pocket knife like a paring knife for slicing things like vegetables or need a fine tip. However, the tip on the Delica 4 is so fine that it's rather delicate, and I've unfortunately chipped mine. The tip on the Salt 2, on the other hand, is robust and durable. At first, I was a bit turned off by the sheepsfoot-ish tip, but I've gotten used to it and hardly miss the fine tip of my Delica anymore. The blade is definitely too thick to easily use as a paring knife, but it's not really meant for that anyway. The H1 steel is excellent, and though it doesn't hold an edge for a very long time, it sharpens up beautifully.

Not H1 steel
One of my favorite EDCs, especially when fishing, but if you're looking specifically for the H1 steel, it isn't. These knives being sent have the new H2 steel (Spyderco says it's better).

Omg, what a gorgeous knife
I like the 4inch length (handle), the blade is smooth, sharp, the thumb flip option n grip is perfect. The Yellow handle is bright, and other great colors to chose from.

Great knife
My father and I are Spyderco plankowners. I bought my first Spyderco in the 80s, when I saw it I bought one immediately. I was a Boatswain Mate in the USCG at the time and was always cutting line and rope. Being able to do so one handed was revolutionary. My father actually stopped carrying his gen1 endura because it's too valuable to him. There's no way to easily replace it should it get lost or break. He had some hideous pink knife he was carrying. When I asked him why he said the knife often slips out in the car, or in the EZ chair and the bright color makes it easier to find.So this past fathers day I found this and gave it to him. Needless to say he loves it. I got a special phone call about it.Spyderco knives cost a little bit more, but you get a knife that lasts for years and years, and you get a knife that stays sharp in your pocket for a month. This the right mix of value and cost. Better quality that a cheap walmart folder, but not as costly as some other brands.
