This is a great starter set for my son and I. Every thing in the set is great quality. The gun comes tuned to use straight out of the box. In addition to this, you will need a pair of gloves, a bottle of paintball gun oil, and some paintballs :-)

Not had one issue with anything in this kit! I love this mini and get so many compliments on it.

The gun within itself is great! It has multiple setting where you can shoot single fire, burst, and full auto.You can customize the barrels if you buy more, and you can change little things like how tight it holds the hopper, the velocity per shot, as well as ramping and how many shots per second. Downside, they do provide a 9V battery located behind the front grip, which isn’t an ideal 9V. Long story short there’s 9V batteries made for smoke alarms etc, which don’t actually draw a constant 9Volts fromThe battery. What you need to immediately swap it with, is a constant draw 9V battery so it doesn’t die mid game, as well as ensuring there’s no performance drop.But what I found disappointing was the rest of the kit… it comes with a neck shield which is cool, but I don’t plan on using it…the belt with the extra pods is amazing, but the mask I found out had a broken seal and in the game I played yesterday with my brand new kit for the first time, I was fogging too much and just couldn’t see. I ended up getting a new one after renting the rest of the day. The mask they provide isn’t even manufactured anymore. :/The air tank they provide you with isn’t anything special either, just a $50 tank not filled of course, but you fill on the field. Based on my play style, I’d go through roughly 4 hoppers per game, so about 500-1,000 shots a game, and I had to re fill air in between each game. I also found out that it’s gauge was off by 1,000PSI. Which isn’t a deal breaker because as long as you can trust the filling gauge at the field, you’ll be good, but it is unfortunate.As for the hopper, it is a great beginner hopper. With new players, it is a tendency to lower or angle your gun a bit, and this specific one comes with an automatic feeder that pushes the paint into the gun.It also just takes 4 AA batteries, but it’s a pain to take apart to clean if a ball breaks within the hopper.Finally it does come with a kit for cleaning and adjusting things… DO NOT adjust the velocity on the back of the gun or the dial at the bottom unless you’ve looked at a video for ramping and velocity control. Also, the kit for cleaning doesn’t come with a squeegee/ microfiber barrel cleaner which is very unfortunate, but in the end it’s still a decent kit, and I recommend picking up a $60 case from a hardware store such as Harbor freight so you can safely store your gun!

I didn’t buy this exact empire mini, but the blue an orange one a few months ago and it was this exact same starter kit also, but mine didn’t come with the halo too hopper, the one that came with my gun wasn’t a electronic hopper at all, Other than that though everything checked out and it’s a good paintball marker.
