I absolutely love my Lomi! I can use all food scraps including food that has spoiled and even small bones. I basically have no garbage, just clean trash. I even take home restaurant leftovers that I won’t eat and toss them in my Lomi. I use the 5 hour setting and usually use about 3 quarts of food scraps. After just a few hours I have about a quart of beautiful, peat moss like, fragrant, dry compost. I can even add some paper and pieces of cardboard. The 5 hour cycle costs about 12 cents per cycle. I use it about twice per week and in about 6 weeks I got 8.5 lbs which I put in my garden. This is the easiest and most effective method of composting I’ve ever used. I won’t ever be able to do without it. It’s very sturdy and easy to use. I find it too big for my kitchen counter but it’s perfect in my basement. I wash it with soap and water after each use even though it looks clean. If I don’t wash it, it eventually gets a hard, difficult to remove residue.

The replacement Lomi Pods and Filters have been a valuable addition to my composting routine. They enhance the efficiency and cleanliness of the composting process, making it a worthwhile purchase. I highly recommend them to anyone using a Lomi food composter.

These are essential to optimal composting. If you don’t use them, there will be a hard film adhered to the sides and bottom of the bucket.

Item works as expected, however the LOMI is really to small and takes to long to use efficiently Ty.

On time, slightly more that I expected price-wise. I have owned a Lomi since before it was cool and LOVE it. Original Kickstarter investor and Wow it is still great!

Do what they are supposed to do

We tried some of the other charcoal filters to reduce the cost, but they were simply not effective. The rotten food smell permeated the spaces within 2 weeks (2-3 uses per week). But the original lomi charcoal filters do hold off the stench for a couple of months. I wish they would lower the price. This most recent purchase with taxes pushed it up close to $60.00!

Came on time and is exactly what is listed. Love my Lomi composter. Composting in my small rowhouse yard isn't plausible as it attracts rodents way too close to my home! Lomi breaks down my food waste which I put into a bin outside. No rotting food to attract unwanted visitors. Mixing it with other organic material and soil makes for great plant and flower beds!
