VEGATOT Citrus Bergamot 9500MG *USA Made and Tested* Concentrated Extract with Berberine Garlic Ginger Artichoke Milk Thistle

What I liked most about this product is its cholesterol-lowering promise AND ingredients. I was not looking for a product with Red Rice Yeast as I am overly-sensitive to statins. To me, statins = pain. I was looking for a product that had health-proven ingredients that I felt safe taking. In addition to high levels of bad cholesterol, I also suffer from chronic arthritis pain. Citrus Bergamot is rich in flavonoids, which promote immune response and heart health. Bergamot may also have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and may help lower cholesterol. Today was Day One, and I will update in a few weeks. I have high hopes.

Original review 7/27/24: 0/5 stars for new version of product. Just as others noted, MASSIVE & SEVERE burning red hives from this product. I was taking it prior to the "upgraded version" and it was fine-- UNTIL they changed formula and added 2 ingredients. I have NEVER had a histamine allergic reaction to a product like this-- it was very scary & alarming! After researching, seems it may be the MILK THISTLE in this "new upgraded formula"... which is apparently in ragweed family, so that may be why ingesting it had such an immediate histamine burning hives response (even though I have no known allergies, but I guess ingesting it makes the difference?!). They should have stuck to their original formula--that was fine before the change.**Update 8/1/24 -5/5 stars for company Vegatot & Amazon customer service. It is important to note that as of this date, the company/Vegatot stands by their customer service response and respectfully offered a resolution due to the circumstances. I appreciate and respect when a company tries to do the right thing. Thank you and for that, I would recommend Vegatot.

These capsules are very easy to swallow and there seems to be no side effects. I bought these because it promotes good cholesterol levels and supports cardiovascular and respiratory health. I am unable to tolerate prescription cholesterol meds so I must lower my cholesterol levels with a new food plan and taking supplements like this one. I will get a repeat lipid panel to check my progress in March so I am hopeful for a better reading! If I can just get it to a moderate level instead of a danger zone level, I will be happy!

I was told by my cardiologist to get Bergamot which helps to reduce cholesterol and overall supports cardiovascular health. When I found this brand and the extra ingredients like odorless garlic, milk thistle, and artichoke it was bonus for heart health. The pills are small and easy to swallow. I will be seeing my cardiologist next month for a lipid test.

After a bout with breast cancer, I’ll be on a daily post-treatment med that raises cholesterol. Mine went up 20 points after being stable for 25+ years. Found citrus bergamot on line. After researching medical journal articles, this formula appears to be compatible with my medication. Worth a try! Will update in a few months after next labs.
