A superior Clamp! Elgato stuff is usually priced a lot higher than other brands, especially when it comes to clamps and mounting hardware BUT the higher price results in really high quality stuff. All my Elgato light clamps, Mic arms, etc all hold up and last me forever. I decided to spend a little more and get this Elgato clamp to mount my mirrorless camera to my desk and it's solid as a rock! build very well and worth every penny.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this to replace a flimsy, plastic C clamp that I had on my desk. I just didn't trust having my camera connected to something that wasn't hardcore enough. That's where the Elgato Heavy Clamp came into my life. I needed something I could use to mount a pole I already have, at a 90 degree angle, to my thick desk. Check, Check, and Check! Standard 1/4" screw holes, one of them is on the top, and it'll clamp to a desk up to 2.1 inches thick. Something I wanted to know but couldn't find in the promo material was that yes, that ball head is easy to remove. It's nice too. I'll probably use the ball head for something else. Did I mention that the Elgato Clamp is made of heavy metal! Well it is.I'm happy with this thing. There's not much else to say about something so simple, so be excellent to each other and party on.

I got this together with Flex Arm L to mount my webcam on a monitor arm and works perfectly! Definitely more space efficient than desk stand or mount.
