Ridiculous Value For Money
I wants a tripod, easy to use and lightweight. Options I saw were from £50 - to £199 and then I found this. It’s perfect. It does everything a tripod should do, the height adjustment is very good and the hook at the bottom to attach a weight for added stability is brilliant. This is a feature normally only found on the more expensive tripods so to have as a feature on here is great.Brilliant kit. A must buy for the avid photographer.Excellent value for money. Highly recommend.

decent for the price
ive been using this tripod for about a year and a half now, im giving it 4 stars as it doesn't feel the most durable and the extender part has unfortunately misaligned with the crank handle meaning it sticks out to the side when fully collapsed making it harder to store in the carry bag, the height of the tripod is very good and has come in handy, there's been times where i have to use it on uneven ground and its nice and easy to extend each leg to keep my camera level, its nice and easy to setup just by loosening the clips and stretching out the legs, for the price i cant complain much its served me well and hopefully i don't have any more issues with it

Excellent for budding astronomers.
I was in need of a tripod for my telescope as the one it came with was designed to be placed on an already raised platform which was okay for viewing in my apartment, but made viewing outdoors nigh impossible without bringing my own foldable stand etc, due to this, I have not used the tripod for taking any kind of pictures/videos and so I won't comment on that.I am an amateur astronomer and have used the tripod around 3 times a week for 2 months. My first impressions of the item were that it was well packaged, as many AmazonBasics products are, and that it was a good weight; light enough to carry around in the provided zip-up bag, but weighty enough to be considered well built. The mounting plate fits my telescope through the same means as it would a camera - a threaded screw into the base of the scope, so no change from the original tripod.Upon gazing into the stars for the first time, I noticed that the "shake" after positioning the scope was reduced considerably compared to my previous tripod, after adding a weight to the hook at the base of the telescope the "shake" was almost non-existent, note that the effects of repositioning the scope are considerably more noticeable when looking through a high powered scope and so I imagine you wouldn't have any problems when using a camera unless you zoom in a fair amount. The tripod allows for a wide range of motion thanks to its many handles and levers, the names of which I am unaware, they are very handy though and after messing with it for 10 minutes I was reasonably comfortable navigating the stars. What most impressed me about the tripod is the height you can achieve when winding the "neck" all the way up, I am 5'11 and it would probably be comfortable for people up to 6'4.The mechanism for locking the different moveable axis in place made stargazing much easier for me as I could use a wider lens to locate the object, then lock each axis as I centred on it with a smaller sized lens ultimately allowing me to hone in with greater precision. To conclude, this tripod has served me well throughout the winter months as a base for my telescope and I would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their current tripod without spending a fortune.PROS----------- Lightweight, yet constructed to a high standard.- Very stable and the counter-weight hook allows for added stability.- Excellent range of motion.CONS--------- The legs, at full extensions, are a tad flimsy.- The extendable "neck" portion of the tripod does not have a way to secure it, that I have found.

Review after 3 years of continous use.
When I moved to England, I left my heavy and expensive tripod at home due to the weight restrictions of flight luggage and I decided to ditch all non-essential heavy items. The plan was to bring it when I go on vacation. I decided to get something cheaper , lighter and portable(probably disposable without any guilt) in the meantime. This tripod ticked all my requirements. However, things didn't go as planned because of COVID 19 and I could not bring my tripod until 2022 February. I ended up using the cheaper Amazon tripod for 3 years. I have even taken it to shoots and it worked just fine.It is lightweight, and for the same reason can get a bit wobbly when you extend it fully. But since it was lightweight I ended up taking it with me most of the time. It has a cheap, plastic quick release plate. But it works. The spring of the quick release plate came out recently, however, I am now mostly using it as a tripod for my phone, so it works just fine. For its price, it did hold up very well.It may be suitable for someone who need a decent, lightweight tripod to take out on hikes and travels.

Great for cameras and projectors. Great value for money.
This can be used for a range of items. i use it for my DSLR And my projector, screws straight onto the camera mount and allows for ample movement and positioning, adjustable in so many spots and very lightweight, perfect if your looking for a cheap camera or projector tripod. comes with a nice bag to store and carry and folds up nice and small. i wouldnt bash this around the place as it feels quite hollow to reach the lightweight, but with a bit of care this should last you a long time
