Seems to be accurate works great in my freezer

Fridge/Freezer sideXside starting to have issues maintaining appropriate temps and need to monitor to see if can nail down issues before resorting to buying a new appliance.Have several thermometers of the larger round face type that can be hung by a molded/fixed hook, or stood up by that same metal-molded stand – and while they're easier to read, they're not especially ergonomic in respect to having places to go in our fridge/freezer without getting knocked off of shelves, whether hung below a shelf or stood up on a shelf. IOW, they're fairly obtrusive.Gave a pair of these a shot as the glass vial, slim-fit, hanger and price all seemed worth a shot.Glad we did!Turns out the pair we purchased (as with much of life and certainly buying goods from Amazon, YMMV) are spot-on with one other's temp readings, and align with a couple others we have that have already been determined to be accurate.To add to the positive side, the hanging hook swivels, which I didn't know but discovered, and find that very useful in helping get the thermometer in the appliance but out of the way from usual traffic flow.Have our pair spaced out, one at the top of the fridge and the other hanging above the bottom bins, I'm able to see and read them when opening the fridge, and unlike the others tried, haven't yet knocked one off it's perch.Keep in mind they're slim and the graphics are small, so if you have vision challenges, might want to go another route.As for our needs, we'll file this buy a win and an increasingly infrequent, pleasant surprise with stuff bought on Amazon — we simply call 'em like we see 'em.

These are a little small & difficult for a 68 yr old to read without glasses. I ordered two & checked calibration in ice water & against a good scientific mercury thermometer. One was accurate, the other was 4 degrees warm. This was not a big deal for me because, as I read another person do, the unit comes apart easily & the glass is only held onto the paper scale by a dab of glue at the bottom. So I just pulled it loose, moved the bulb up 4 degrees & added another drop of glue.

Quality of the product is ok, it is very temperature accurate, the size is small, has a little hock to hang on the size of the fridge. No battery needed, works well.

The quality of this little thermometer is much better than I'd expected for the relatively low price as compared to other thermometers, particularly since it was made in the USA and Cooper-Atkins even supplies it in a sealed package with little waste. My particular application is simple and straightforward, it's being used in a refrigerator/freezer and a single thermometer is moved from one area to another on a rotating basis as needed. Reading it is assisted by two tiny markings, one each for the correct temperature of a freezer and refrigerator. It works and is easy to move, hang, rest in a shot glass or on its side, and if you look at it carefully and your eyesight is good, you can actually read the scale. I'd buy it again.

Well worth it to know your foods are safely being stored in the fridge!Bought a new type that uses no harmful gases to see how well it worked . Turns out just as well as the larger more expensive fridge. Now I can use Solar for my fridge from only Solar ditching propane gas once again! I used this product to accurately measure and monitor how cold it gets where I work. It's an unheated warehouse in the middle of Iowa in the dead of winter. Good times. Without data/numbers you are just an opinion. Works fine, compact, a little hard to read and no calibration but has believable accuracy, a solid hook for hanging it and a super value price.

The thermometer is much smaller than picture and hard for me to read. When I hold it to see, it affects the reading. I purchased it to verify other refrigerator thermometers. It seems to read almost four degrees high at room temperature. For ease of use, I prefer the dial thermometers.
