Q: is there any kind of instructions in the package? Would a novice who never changed strings be able to use it?

fits really tight, works perfect on electric guitars. this is unlike the cheaper plastic ones. Even the string clipper works a treat.

Q: How good is the bridge pin puller? I don't want to make any kind if indentation/scratches etc on my bridge.

I don't think the bridge pin puller is very good. I couldn't use it with any of my guitars. In my opinion it's best to find another make for that. The other things on it are ok though.

Q: How does this do when cutting low guage strings? Ive got a 0.68 on my 7 string lowest string

I’ve used these for cutting bass strings, so you should have no issue with a 7-string.
