Easily assembled if you're a fairly confident handy-person, with good instructions and a well packaged strip of fittings. Its riser mechanism is tension-sprung, so pay attention to the final part of the instructions which cover the removal of a screw to activate the mechanism. You'll need a screwdriver and spanners or sockets to tighten the fixings provided, but there really is minimal assembly work to do with this product. In use, the quality of this table is aesthetically pleasing and it rolls nicely on its generous sized castors.If assembled correctly, the "one-finger" riser mechanism does just that. Very easy and quick to alter its height according to need. A good value product which is fairly priced and should last many years if looked after.

This is a good simple clean design with nice lines. I hate items that look like items for the disabled - beige, cream, big knobs, naff designs. Whilst I probably wouldn’t want this in my home unless I had to have one for a disabled partner, at least it doesn’t stand out in the bedroom as “medical type equipment”. The chrome leg and base are as good as they get, and the wheels are the same as on other functional furniture like computer desks. The top is a very dark brown wood grain pattern which is tolerable. I would have preferred white or grey but it doesn’t scream plastic wood as you walk in the room. Under electric light it looks virtually black.The packaging and assembly instructions were good. The small parts are mounted on a card with outlines and parts numbers, a lot better than the usual plastic bag of jumbled bits. The wheels were in a small box.It went together quite easily with the aid of 11mm and 16mm spanners. My old pre-metric spanners were fine. You also need a substantial cross head screwdriver. My medium sized one wasn’t good enough for the job and a trip to the shed for a bigger one made all the difference.Once assembled, it works well. The release lever is very easy to operate, and once released, it is very easy to change the height of the table with only a light pressure needed. The only problem I found is that I couldn’t lift the table over a scramble of oxygen lines as the table top started lifting instead of the table lifting. I just need to get used to moving the oxygen line coils instead of moving the table over the coils.As far as price is concerned, it is much better value than the bit of rubbish I just sent back to a mobility shop. That cost £80, did not allow reclaiming of VAT on that particular model, was badly packaged and consequently damaged, slow to arrive, had no instructions at all, and a much smaller table top. It had also been sent to someone else previously and still had their address label on the box. It also looked cheap and nasty. This is a much better buy, especially since I can now reclaim the VAT.I expect a proper hospital type trolley could have been supplied by the district nurse but the chances are that would have been used by several other people, be a bit battered, and have the nasty “disabled equiment” look. I’m very glad we were able to buy our own at such a good price instead.

I am spending more time with my feet up than I would naturally choose, hence the need for a table.Its not perfect - however in this life, nothing else is.Best features - it is sturdy, and the mechanism for raising and lowering it, is easy to use and effective, which means you can use over the bed or chairMiddling features - putting it together is fiddly and not intuitive, and at one stage involved my husband losing the two small cylinders inside the crossbar - and those of you who are looking to assemble it will know what I mean. In order to rescue them from the interior I had to use magnets and a screwdriver in a scene reminiscent of TaskMaster. Extraction achieved and further studying the instructions (an admission of defeat in itself) and the device was assembled over the course of the morning,Once assembled, it looks good, solid and functional. The castors do not run particularly well on carpet, few do. They have brakes - which confused us.Overall, this is one of the more expensive tables, it doesn't tilt - but that comes with its own problems, nevertheless it does what it says on the label. It kept my husband entertained for a couple of hours while he assembled it, and overall I am very happy with it. However given the contrasting quality of the instructions and the product, it is almost certainly Made in China ;-)

Very sturdy and well made

Great product, well built, strong and easy to assemble with a few basic tools.

Good size table for any person in bed. Good value for moneyDownfall is that it does not move easy on carpeted floors.
