Happy Customer
I have purchased several of these booklets from the Story Country Wisdom series. They by-and-large are ALL good and I have not been dissatisifed with even one of them. They are simplistic in that they are easy to read and understand, yet are very useful. Sadly much of the old art of medicines/home remedy styles, food preprations such as drying foods, and much other preparedness and survival knowledge have been lost with time. Story has preserved alot of it and is passing it on to us...and if I may add...at what I believe is a fair price. I say buy up with confidence.

Another great booklet by Storey’s
I love these booklets by Storey’s Wisdom. And this one... does not disappoint. There are a few recipes and different drying techniques, to include; using the oven and microwave. It is simple and concise and. Great start for anyone interested in food drying.

Short and informative
Good for the small short leaflet that it is, do not get this if you are expecting a long book or multiple recipes as it has short tips and tricks

Brief Introduction to Food Drying
This brochure provides a solid introduction to food drying basics (a quick guide kind of thing). May not be the best choice if you are "deep into food drying" but that is obviously not a purpose of this work. For those of us who are just starting & need it quick this is a great source of info.

nice book and lots of good info
I have started putting up my own food in earnest now instead of just some canning, etc. Dehydration is a great way for some things to be stored and I am now using my dehydrator a lot more to put up my harvest and some of my meat stores as well. This book presents some good basic info on how to go about doing this.

hand, small, quick guide for novice
Did quick read and find the series i bought along with "Food Drying...." to be helpful. It wasn't like: it's too overwhelming". It's a handy size i can carry and review anytime, so i rate it a 5 (i love it). I like the part where it shows how to dry without the modern electric eqipment.

valuable little book
less that 4 dollars. This is a tiny little bok of about 60 pages counting the covers. It lists methods and techniques to prreserve food by drying. Air drying, sun drying, oven drying, microwave oven drying, purpose built appliance drying. Listes several different items and their temperature time air requirements. It also describes the finished product and then provides recipes for cooking the food later in the book. well worth the asking price

good info but....
This booklet had a little more information in it than the pamphlet that came with my dehydrator but not much more. There are a number of cookbooks out there that have a lot more information that is useful. I have found these little Storey books don't have much in them for the money spent.
