Perfect for MacBooks!
I was pleasantly surprised when I received this item. I knew from immediately looking at the packaging, that I had purchased a high quality item.Once opened, the stand was easy to construct. Simply, there are two metal holders that are fixed into a plastic bar (the main base). One small flaw is that the bars do tend to wobble a wee bit; but once your laptop (MacBook?) is placed on, everything seems fine. The design is in-keeping with Apple MacBooks and in fact doesn't seem like a separate stand by any means; it perfectly compliments my MacBook Air and seems just like its extension!Overall, the support it provides is sufficient. There are two small clips at the end of the metal rods that prevent your laptop from slipping off. However, this is quite unlikely anyhow, due to the rubber grip provided. I should also mention that the stand is at a slight angle towards the user, and cannot be adjusted.Overall, I am pleased with this essential piece of gadgetry. It has made my life a lot easier when using my MacBook on the dining table, in conjunction with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I can highly recommend this product if you are comfortable with the fixed viewing angle. 5/5,Note: I have tried this with both 13" and 15" MacBooks, as well as a Dell XPS laptop. All were stable and secure.

Simple and Effective
I use a monitor and a laptop and I'm at that stage of life where my eyes sometimes take a while to refocus between things at different distances. This very simple laptop stand has brought the laptop screen up to the same level as the monitor and allowed me to get both screens the same distance from my eyes and noticeably reduced my eyestrain. The HP laptop is prevented from slipping both by the little pieces of plastic at the front and the nonslip rubber on the arms, but the larger Samsung notebook is held only by the non-slip rubber as the profile of the laptop means the plastic stoppers slide underneath it, even so the non slip rubber works well. It is surprisingly sturdy considering the simplicity of the design. It also allows me to keep my second laptop underneath my main one and switching them over is fairly easy, this reduces clutter on my desk. All in all I would recommend it.

Better than Expected - Very Happy with Purchase.
This stand is fantastic, I'm not sure what I was expecting but the metal 'legs' are much thicker than I had thought they would be, which gives no doubt to the durability and strength of the product. The whole design looks very sleek and minimalist, and the box it arrived in was nice as well. It also came with the clear end caps that fit onto the front of the upper prongs to hold the laptop in place if necessary, although I haven't had any problems with my laptop moving because of the rubbery grey areas.I have a 15.6" laptop, and it sits perfectly on the stand, with more than enough stability to hold a larger or smaller laptop as well.It was also incredibly simple to unpack and assemble - no instructions necessary. I find that the height is perfect for me to raise the screen to around eye level, and it is still a height at which I can use the laptop keypad although I think I will probably buy a wireless keyboard to stop myself having to lean forward as much.Would definitely recommend.

great product!
Bought one of these for my 15" HP work laptop and for our home MacBookPro 13". On initial opening I panicked seeing the words 'notebook stand', but the stand is very sturdy and can more than take the weight of a more doorstop style PC laptop. It is for any notebook or laptop that is 10" or bigger. Obviously it looks amazing with the MacbookPro because of the silver colour (looks like it's made of exactly the same stuff as the macbook but can't be sure)The one thing the picture doesnt show is two clear plastic clips which attach to the top two prongs of the stand. These pop into place easilt and stop any slipping forward with a lip that sits on the front edge of the laptop. I think this is a great extra feature, as it stops any accidental knocking the laptop forwards! the grips are very sturdy and it is near impossible to push it forward or back without physically picking the stand up.Great product, ridiculously quick delivery, happy customer!

Very Good and Very Very Nearly Excellent
This is well made in the Griffin style and is certainly helping my neck muscles. It lift up. your notebook or laptop or whatever by 5" or 12.5cm. You will probably need an external keyboard which you can store underneath because its two high and and too flexible to use the machine's own keyboard and track-pad. I found that it was combination of being scrunched over the keyboard and lowering my head to see the screen at that short distance which really gave me the headaches. At first I thought it was a bit high, but now it seems quite natural. And you can spill your tea on a cheap USB keyboard without worrying about repair bills. Two minus points: Its perfectly strong and stable but a bit of bracing at the back would make it even better. The front brace is clear plastic which scratches easily and visibly, particularly where the side brackets slide in. Why not white like most other Griffin products? The steel brackets have sand blasted steel paint effect like a Mac Probook (is it pro macbook or bookmac pro?). Your desk and the underside of the computer are protected by large light grey minicell foam pads. All in all, worth the money, though I will miss the neck massages.
