Q: Can you use rechargable batteries on this item

AS FAR AS I CAN REMEMBER (it was some time ago) RECHARGABLE BATTERIES WERE ABLE TO BE USED . THIS TRAIN SET WAS FOR MY GRANDSONS . IAM SORRY I CANT BE PRECISE ON THIS.

Q: I am struggling to get this to work. If there is no light showing on the remote, is it broken?

Make sure the engine and the remote control are both switched to the same letter, A or B. I think the engine needs to be running without the remote control first. If the correct batteries have been inserted in both items it should work.

Q: Are these sets compatible with the playtive junior rail sets?

Yes. I’ve recently been gifted for my son Playtive Junior 72 piece Railway set and it’s all perfectly interchangeable with Brio wooden train set and Bigjigs.

Q: What batteries do they take please?

4 AA batteries - two for the remote control and two for the engine. The image of the box actually has the battery requirements on it if you enlarge.
